I would be tempted to make a troll recipe called 'The Disappointed Elf' and it would just be a boiled egg wrapped in the closest real life thing we have to elfroot
Congratulations on the sponsorship! Wow! The book itself looks gorgeous. I love the idea of savory pancakes 😊 I also like that the book encourages you to season the stew to taste
I knew a new game was coming but didn't know they were making a cookbook. I might have to get it with the way it looks. Congrats on the sponsorship you deserve it!
For some reason when you said EA sent you the book, my brain was like "Did they force you to pay for every recipe instead of releasing the full book?"😂😂
The Nug Pancakes are really interesting, Im from Europe so Pancakes are always sweet here. But seeing a savory version surprised me! And the Stew made me hungry! It's one of those Stews where you could replace the beans for Potatoes (which I'd have to do, damn Favism) so I could try it. And I will as soon as I get my hands on that cookbook!
I hope that more publishers decide to send you their game inspired cookbook books in the future after this! Can't get over how delicious everything looks!
I dont quite know how to describe it, but there is something about this guy that just puts a smile on my face! His videos are in all honesty nothing special, but the way he presents himself and the energy he gives off just makes me so happy!
First off. I would prefer a strawberry sauce. I bet that would be an easy sub. The stew looks super hearty. Perfect for a chilly day. I had some savory Korean pancakes one time that were real good. I love the intros you do. Sneaking up up that dude with a colander on your head. I almost spit my tea out.😆
Amazing video, as always. I do think the DA book is one of the best layed out/presented series cookbooks I have seen. Also, I'm so glad you got sponsored! Cheers! I was actually quite surprised we got a new trailer for DA Dreadwolf today, too. It's been a long, rough development for the game. I hope it turns out well.
I enjoy this channel a lot because not only do I get food inspiration or a good book to add to the cart but also I learn about games or shows I’ve never knew about! 🍱
This is by far one of the best videos you're made! ❤ interesting recipes and cool book. And super congrats for the sponsorship 🎉 never played to Dragon Age, but definitely interested on the cookbook 🤩
That’s why I love themed cookbooks from video games, tv shows or movies, that it want to try making everything. Or just the ones that grab full attention.
Those nug pancakes look so tasty, cant wait to make them!! also congrats on the sponsorship! i've been following you for ages and its so exciting to see you get recognised by one of my favourite gaming companies.
I saw "dragon age" and clicked IMMEDIATELY! Im a huge dragon age nerd and im so happy to see anything dragon age related 🤣 (and im a big foodie so that also helped 😭)
You might want to put the allspice and the clove in a fine mesh tea ball - you don't want to bite down on them. When stew is done, remove tea ball (you can put the bay leaf in there also).
For the nug pancakes you could probably swap out the meat for something else that’s either more to your liking or for medical reasons for example. Stuff like beef as it can possibly offer a great texture contrast to the pancakes themselves or go the extra mile and have full on giant breakfast sausage patties…My mouth is watering just thinking about it… Fish could also be a good option for a strong flavor. Shout out to all those catholics out there.
My favorite youtuber making food from my favorite game! Blessed 🙏 The correct answer { for me 😂 } Dragon Age: Alistair / my Mabari Mass Effect: Garrus / Joker.
I’d LOVE to see you test out the Hannibal cookbook from the NBC series!! The quality and photography is amazing and they’ve got some little bits from Janice Poon and some of the actors. I actually own it but I’ve yet to try any recipes from it since they’re quite extravagant.
I am obsessed with Dragon Age, probably my fave series of all time and it got me into gaming. But I realized...I don't know anytbing about the food lol. Fallout I had an idea of what would've been in the cookbook. So a DA cookbook was interesting to me because I don't know any iconic foods in DA. All I remember is chugging health potions or lyrium. If I don't win the giveaway I guess I'll put it on a wishlist lol.
Wow! The pictures on that book look spectacular! The blancmange in particular looked especially tasty even though I am not the biggest fan of cherries. Hopefully these delicious recipes will help distract me for a bit as we wait for DA4... and I got a feeling it's going to be a while longer yet. ;.;
I collect themed cook books, just got The Witcher one last month when it came out cause I preordered it....I was THINKING about this one at minimum so I'm glad to see the review...out of all my themed cookbooks there is a VERY discernable theme that I have far more medieval and medieval fantasy themed cook books than any other lol.
a mass effect cookbook would be so awesome but barely any food is mentioned, it would have to be a drink recipe book which would still be pretty cool (ryncol would probably be illegal... also that liquefied turian...)
Imagine living in Thedas and finding out that your world’s name really means “The Dragon Age Setting.” It’d be like us learning that Simulation Theory is real and we’re all living in a file called “Experimental Art: Humans”-EArtH.
Great video. The blancmange is a good spin of the historical recipe, I liked it. And it's good they removed the chicken from the old recipe from the 14th century because I tried it once and it was too chewy. And I'm not a fan of sweet chicken breast.
Congrats ! Love the intro and seems your green screen was not as naughty this time 🎉. The meals match the photo ! I am happy how good they are. As French, just one thing to make a constructive comment : « blanc manger » is said without the « c » at the end of « blanc » (unlike blank) and you need to pronounce « a » after « mange », in case this is messy in a written comment you can try the pronounciation with French Google translate you’ll see what I mean ❤
Blancmange?!? Hopefully not the large alien version which tries to win Wimbledon by turning Englishmen into Scotsmen! That's actually a possible encounter in a Monty Python RPG I backed!
Guac and salsa would make it a more Cali-Mex flavour, just so you know. Tex-Mex is more cheesy, maybe more spicy, probably meatier if that can be managed somehow, and downright greasy.
This is how I learned there was a new Dragon Age game...I think it's safe to say you've Made It
Omg you look exactly like the character in the thumbnail
@@bluescotchtape💀 that’s horrible
@@bluescotchtapehis name is solas and yes, he kinda does look like him 😄
EA sent me here, they said you're pretty bad at cooking or something and no, the cook book is not worth it. it's literally free as a digital copy
I would be tempted to make a troll recipe called 'The Disappointed Elf' and it would just be a boiled egg wrapped in the closest real life thing we have to elfroot
The next cookbook, post-Veilguard, should feature an egg salad, quiche, etc recipe. Just a nice nod to the fact that we’re beating The Egg (Solas) xD
@@redlion1740 The dreaded salad and it's just mashed egg, lettuce leaves and some croutons lol
that'd be weed
Congratulations on the sponsorship! Wow! The book itself looks gorgeous. I love the idea of savory pancakes 😊 I also like that the book encourages you to season the stew to taste
Thanks so much! 😊
I would love to see you cook some things out of the new Dungeons and Dragon Cookbook.
I have it on the list!
@@MisoHungrie I picked it up the other day and already have so many things I want to make! Keep up the good work!
I just wanted to say that the quality of your videos has had a noticable increase in the past few months.
Thanks! I've been trying to teach myself the manual settings of my camera and I think I'm understanding it a bit better. Glad you noticed!
I knew a new game was coming but didn't know they were making a cookbook. I might have to get it with the way it looks. Congrats on the sponsorship you deserve it!
Thank you!!
Congrats on the sponsorship! Here's to more people sending you their cookbooks!
You should make a compilation/showcase of the best recipes of the year since New Years is not too far!
I'm in the early stages of putting one together 😋
For some reason when you said EA sent you the book, my brain was like "Did they force you to pay for every recipe instead of releasing the full book?"😂😂
Watch they did 😂😂😂
The part where you appeared behind Solas and ready to bonk him cracked me up🤣
The Nug Pancakes are really interesting, Im from Europe so Pancakes are always sweet here. But seeing a savory version surprised me!

Oh man potatoes in that stew would be an amazing substitution!
Northern and Eastern Europe has a lot of savory pancakes.
@@MisoHungrie Bacon, good sir, that would work wonders I suspect
Im from Europe and they’re not always sweet here…

Nothing special? Ouch bruh 😂
yaaaaaaaas ! and the way i screamed do it when u were behind solas XD aaaaah my poor lavellan and i am still not over it. and long live garrus XD

Lol a colander helm is pretty badass isn't it??
We need you as a playable character! 😂 everything looked SO yummy

The food photography is stellar! Hope you enjoy the cookbook if you decide to get it 👍

Making nuggy pancakes, making nuggy pancakes. Take some Nuggy and I'll put it in a pancake.
Some of the best food photography I've seen in a cookbook yet. If I ever played Dragon Age, I'd buy this immediately.

It's so surreal, revisiting this video now that I've played the games and get the references.
Didn't even know Dragon Age had a new game coming out, but I loved all the previous ones. Also, I may have to pick up this cookbook myself too!

Dragon Age: Alistair / my Mabari
Mass Effect: Garrus / Joker.
Good picks! A friend of Garrus is a friend of mine 🤜🤛
Best companion is The Iron Bull. No contest. He was even a strict stipulation in my wedding vows.
😮I wasn’t aware of this cookbook. *adds to shopping cart*
Congrats on that sponsor!
Something that'd heavily determine my decision to buy this to would be whether or not they included an Antivan Milk Sandwich as a recipe.
Still pretty sure it's a euphemism, probably for a boobjob😂
I was really hoping for a dish from Orzammar or from the Danish
To the best of my memory The world of thedas books have a dalish recipe although it does have insect larva listed as an ingredient

I cooked the Poison Stings from the book. Tastes just like those chocolate oranges.

The Nug Pancakes look like Pulled pork pancake sandwiches
We should definitely have a fantasy stew recipe bracket. I want to know which of these is the stew I should try
Got the cookbook and can't wait to try it. I wonder what cookware would be best to have for it, like plates bowls and cup and glasses.
ok sponsorship slay !! happy for u
