- Almost a year after going stage 1 E85 with 034 Motorsport, I give my full review of life after a tune, including my first dyno run to see if the advertised HP gains match 034's claims.

i just brought my s4 in for warranty. i put it back to stock. they changed a ball joint, changed an exhaust clamp and reprogrammed my mmi center screen. no problems👍

The exhaust issue is because when you start the car in dynamic mode it reverts to Drive. But if you select dynamic mode it puts you in Sport mode which is what the car needs to be in to have the exhaust be open all the time. An easier way is to when you put it in drive just flip your shifter backards and you see the D on your dash turn into a S. Signifying you are in sport mode which the car also has to be in for you to really take advantage of the gear changes and being able to launch with traction control off.
I have a b9 s5 sportback. Im stage 1 plus e85 which honestly man you should do the fuel pump upgrade which is pretty simple to do and it gives you an extra 15 horsepower and 25 ft lbs of torque. Not overall. But just in the mid range where the fueling puts is strained the most. So like between 2000 and 4500 RPM you get that added power gain. My cars best time was 0-60 in 3.25 seconds and 1/4 mile 11.32. This was on street tires in pretty poor weather. That midrange power is life man. I wouldnt even do stage 2 if you are thinking about it. Its not worth it. Id throw that money into their suspension upgrades and their inserts for the trans, differential etc.
this is a GREAT input. any updates so far how she’s treatin ya? any issues, & what milage are you currently at? just got my b9 s4 1 month ago with 48k miles to its name. no issues at all so far knock on wood, and the CarFax was amazing on it. (also at a 5 star dealer with thousands of reviews)
@@kehaya2625 I am 80,340 miles right now. its incredibly reliable and give me no issues. Its been tuned for a little over a year and has 20k on the tune. I did a lot of inspecting of what can be seen with a bore scope and the engine is mint. Its a 2018 with the old rocker arms. No odd ticks and noises and the last logs I did showed the car was running really well. Unfortunately I cant take the car anywhere to data log it with the risk it would put me in. And so I just make sure to do short oil change intervals with really good oil designed for the engine and I made sure to do a trans flush and replace the trans filter. DIff service. All of it. I actually flushed the transmission twice just to try and get as much out as I could of the old stuff. I think with diligent maintenance and full bolt on upgrades you get the best out of the car and reliability.
But so far its given me no sign of any issues. But I also replaced parts that are prone to fail. But at your mileage? Its not really a concern unless it was a tuned car previously and you dont know what fluids are in it or how hard it was driven. And if its a newer model you have a bit of insurance with the rocker arms. But they have been revised 4 times since release. Im still not worried. Ive beat the shit out of that car since the day I got it. And it takes it. I have very low oil consumption. No coolant loss. Only issue I ever had is in winter the cold start on e85 would sometimes require a second start attempt.

Love your content, I went stage 1 ecu and tcu just recently had a few hiccups but now all good. We have the same spec but i got navarra blue.

@@yrichard6404 the first day I went stage 1 I got a drivetrain malfunction, gearbox malfunction, and parking brake malfunction.

Been 034 stage 1 with Wagner, x34, all the inserts, rsb, 2piece rotors, and JXB drive shaft carrier (highly suggest) X brace, and end links for about a year or so now. Such a good car. I did 400 wheel on a dyno jet with 93 tune. I’ve wandered about what that correlates to the mustang dyno. I’m guessing about 25 or so wheel difference from what you got. About 380-390 wheel maybe? I have 18 s4 btw.

the thing with the valve and burbles from start up might just be that the car doesn't start up in "S" mode . same thing over here tuned with IE and need to put it in S mode and i get the valves open
It's odd right? Even when it starts in dynamic mode, it isn't really in dynamic mode.

Any changes to scheduled maintenance? Earlier oil changes etc? What’s the E85 MPG under normal driving? Considering 034 Stg1 too. Thanks
Good questions. I do oil changes every 5k miles now. I plan to do the spark plugs soon as I'm approaching 30k miles. My MPG is around 22 mpg if I drive conservatively.
Jealous of your availability of ethanol down there. I'm up in the PNW and it's sparse and expensive up here. A gallon of E85 is the same price as Premium 92 so I'm kinda stuck at 91 octane files but on the other hand, we don't have emissions testing :)

If you haven't flashed E85 yet, you should def' try it, so much faster than 91/93 octane files. Trust me

Nope. Still trusting the gas stations.
Putting E in my b9 for the first time today. Do you even have a ethanol sensor or u just fill it up from empty and switch over
I don't have a sensor because all the E85 fuel in my region is provided by the same supplier. But yes, I drained the tank to empty. Be sure it's really empty though. Then I filled up with e85 and let it run for a while at idle then tune. I have another video showing that process and 034 Motorsport has a video showing the process with a sensor.
Just pull back on the shifter after you put it in drive and it will put you back into sport mode and open the exhaust. Instead of cycling through again.

Nice, try a exhaust valve delete simulator. It's better than unplugging and taping off sensor then getting a CEL.
You can unplug the valves on our tuning and avoid the CEL.

What issues have you had with them? Just went stage 1 ecu stage 2 tcu e85 on my b9 sq5.
