Claire, I take black ink or paint mix it with alcohol and dip the dry flowers in it and then place on paper towel to dry. You can re dip after drying to get darker color if wanted. Stunning video as usual !
@@dawn-marieoliver2393Yep. A mister bottle works too. You just have to be careful. Best to use heat-set ink to avoid the color bleeding if you can. 😉👍🏼
My brain would have behaved in the same way as yours when placing the birds hahaha My fav section of the bowl is the clear area where the bird is coming through the greyishness ❤
If your ever worried again sweetie about your flowers being super fragile to pain you can mix your acrylic paint with a little bit of water in a spray bottle and spray them then you don't have to worry about maybe ripping or your flower's falling apart,,,,my God hunny you are such a hard working dedicated young lady here you are moving and doing new videos do you sleep hun lol,,,not complaining I love love love your videos,,,,,omg this bowl is gorgeous
We say "knock on wood" while usually knocking on actual wood here in NC, USA. But most of the time we're doing it to keep bad luck away as opposed to bringing forth good luck if that makes sense. Stunning bowl! I would have never thought to paint my flowers and now I have a new use for the ones that weren't going to get used because I didn't like their color. Such a neat idea. Congrats on your new place. 💝
I mean…. Wow!!! I thought the same thing… The Birds !!! Might be my favorite project that you’ve done!!! It’s exactly my aesthetic!!! Btw, I would’ve been staring at the birds, to figure out how they go also… My brain doesn’t work that way…. My husband laughs at me all the time for it… 🤣 Love the skeletons sitting in the garden!!! 😂
1) So spooky and moody! And that purple is GORGEOUS. It's just so dark and velvety! 2) I have to tell you Claire, I was dying laughing the whole time you were talking about struggling to put the birds in the right direction....OMG ME TOO!! I just don't understand what is wrong with me. It's like a freaking brain teaser! So glad I'm not alone 😂 3) In my area of the US (Ohio), we say "Knock on wood" 😊
OMBird, this is STUNNING! This season is my favorite time of year. I couldn’t wait to see what Claire would be creating. Your style is so my cup of tea! I love all things woodsy and haunting, and you're the best at creating that. Thank you for sharing.
Oh my word. This is somehow stunningly eerie. So much work went into this bowl. So worth it. Your creations are phenomenal. I totally agree with you about that purple color. It’s like liquid royal velvet. I too am obsessed with it!!!!!
I love that the flowers bled. It gave a smoky vibe... the highlights on the birds made me think pinecone. One turn, it was if there were cat eyes. Just so much to look at and enjoy.
This is just fantastic, Claire! I love the whole concept, and you've captured it perfectly. Your colour choice couldn't have been better. Thank you for another great video.
I love this so much and some of where the paint bled, it looks like how you would see a heavy down pour of rain in a distance. This is amazing. Wishing you a smooth move to the new home.
Stunning Claire. Watching this after seeing you after the move. Hindsight is a good thing when you go into something big. Your view is magnificent. The inspiration for your next Autumn will be overwhelming.
I love this so much Claire! It's mystical, it's spooky, it's Hallowe'en, it's everything! And that purple is exactly the same as Cadbury's chocolate wrappers so I'm totally here for it!
OMG, can't believe how good the flowers look in black! Can't stop laughing at you turning the birds every which way. Yep, saw the one you mixed up, glad you caught it. You sooooooo remind me of my daughter. We just spent an hour trying to decide what color wings she should have for Disneyland this Halloween, lol. I squealed when you demoulded. We say "knock on wood", lol. Fantabulous bowl!
I'm painfully right handed. Had to hold my dremel in my right hand to lock down the collet, and tried to loosen it with the wrench in my left hand. I was as confused as you were trying to place the birds!! It's weird how the brain works, even when we know what we are trying to achieve! Love the mood of the bowl. The wisps of acrylic paint add to the moodiness! Hugs from 🇨🇦
LOVE IT !! That’s a lot of work, but in this case I feel it was worth it ! I’m Canadian, and YES, we do say “TOUCH WOOD”, with the same meaning behind it … HOWEVER … we DON’T touch our heads (referring to our heads being made of wood), we quickly look around wherever we are and reach out to touch actual wood (any wood: furniture, handrail, wooden salad bowl etc. !) However, seeing that in today’s world we have less authentic wood products, and we’ve been substituting (more & more each day !), with painted “resin wood-like”… uhhh EVERYTHING !! What a generation we are ! Happy Halloween Clair ! Julie
Yessssss!!!!! This is PERFECT. I love this so so so so much. Claire - I’m obsessed! I can’t wait for more Halloween videos. I’m the same as you when it comes to Halloween. Dark, moody, flat black, creepy, haunted is 🖤. That purple - omg it’s STUNNING. I must really love that color, because that’s almost the exact color I dye my hair! I want it.
Gorgeous! That purple is sooo moody I love it. Yes, I struggle with putting thigs in the right way up..LOL I 've done it totally backwards and threw the project away. It's the way we learn. Loving this bowl. In US we say knock on wood all the time for good luck or making sure things go as planned.
OMG I love that!!! I would so buy it! My house stays Halloween all year and it is black and purple and reds along with silver and whites. You nailed that one. It's stunning 🤩🥰🖤💜❤
I love all the elements you put together for this project. It definitely has a dark forest feel to it, you can almost hear the crack of thunder in the background. We say “Knock on wood” here in the US, it’s used to ward off a negative outcome. My Mom was quite superstitious, “Never walk under a ladder,” Never open an umbrella in the house.” And.. “Never pass a knife.” Even tho I don’t consider myself to be superstitious.. I don’t ever chance doing any of those things.😂 I hope your new home is your haven and your new studio is inspiring.
I’m not a Halloween person but l do love the macabre, so this is right up my street too! Love the birds, the colours, everything! Hope the house move went well and you are settling in x
@MrsKateT Thank you for making that distinction! Me, too! Not wild about Hallow'en, necessarily, but LOVE the macabre...just never thought of it that way!
It’s so gorgeous!!! I love it!!! You inspire me so much! I ordered silicone stamps to use when making my resin jewelry!!! It’s a game changer!!! Thank you!!!
I am not a halloween person * living in australia* BUT this gowl is just gorgeous and you are nto qrong about that purple !!! such a gorgeous colour !!!!!!!. STUNNING !!!!!
Very cool! I like it a lot! I was surprised the flowers painted so nicely, I would have tried spray painting them, and I think that would’ve been a big pain in the butt getting them all covered. I love seeing people do things that I would not think of doing so now I’ve got a new thing I can do! Lol.
This bowl is absolutely beautiful 😍 I completely feel you with the upside-down and backward questioning, lol that is totally me when I am making anything with words that go in backwards in resin 🥴
WOW You do love Halloween. But I could not find a playlist for the videos. Am I just not seeing it. I do love what you are doing and I can't get enough of you Halloween creativity. I want to see all of you video. I even went back to the beginning 6 years ago.
Yusss Halloween!!! Your resin art is amazing, the bowl so pretty. Poe would be so proud! I tried resin once, it was a mess LOL I can`t wait to see what you make next ♥
This in my top 3 faves of your creations! LOVING the dark 'The Crow' vibes 🖤 I soooo want yiu to make something with air dry clay. I'm obsessed by it & neeeeed you to inspire me pleeeease 😁 xx
WOWWWW! What a gorgeous bowl, Claire! 💕😘 That purple, which is sooo *not* "my color", is fabulous! ❤ LOVE the black flowers and the birds! Yes, I get myself all confused trying to do things upside down and backwards! 😵 UGH! We "knock on wood", then tap rap our noggin with our knuckles, or wood. 😅 TIP: Maybe spray painted objects with hairspray to "fix" the paint, if you don't have spray varnish, if you don't want bleed. In this instance, the bleed is way cool!
I love it it reminds me of when a witch turns into a crow or sends them to attack. I cant verbalize how much im into thai bowl! I love how the one fkowr almost looks like a feather thats come out in the storm. As for your last question we knock instead if touch so we say knock on wood and knock on our heads or anything wooden near by!
The colours are stunning, I agree, that is the perfect purple, and I love this bowl. You might want to try using a transparent pigment for some of the coloured parts, so you'd see more of the birds and plants. As beautiful as mica is, it takes such a small amount of it to make things lose transparency.
LOL!! Interesting how things develop. "Knock on wood." Is an old saying that came from the idea that waking up the woodland spirits, and bringing their attention to what you were saying would bring you luck. In the U.S., we still say "Knock on wood." I imagine "Touch wood is from the same idea, but how one gets to touching your head... I'm sure there was something else that connects them, but someone had to explain to be about Bob and Fanny being Aunts and Uncles and what that referred to as well!
Claire, I take black ink or paint mix it with alcohol and dip the dry flowers in it and then place on paper towel to dry. You can re dip after drying to get darker color if wanted. Stunning video as usual !
I am wondering if an airbrush would be effective...
@@dawn-marieoliver2393Yep. A mister bottle works too. You just have to be careful. Best to use heat-set ink to avoid the color bleeding if you can. 😉👍🏼

So very thrilling!!! Just a little black magic of complete beauty!!!❤
I mean…. Wow!!! I thought the same thing… The Birds !!! Might be my favorite project that you’ve done!!! It’s exactly my aesthetic!!! Btw, I would’ve been staring at the birds, to figure out how they go also… My brain doesn’t work that way…. I love the moody darkness of the bowl with glimpses of birds and flowers coming through.
That purple is just 💜💜💜
This is gorgeous! Love it! That purple is beautiful. We say knock on wood.
Omg i completely understand the struggle with the brain working when it comes to reverse logic!!! I dread making moulds BECAUSE of that 😅
1) So spooky and moody!
So glad I'm not alone 😂

Stunning Claire. Watching this after seeing you after the move. Hindsight is a good thing when you go into something big. Your view is magnificent. The inspiration for your next Autumn will be overwhelming.

Very cool! I like it a lot! I was surprised the flowers painted so nicely, I would have tried spray painting them, and I think that would’ve been a big pain in the butt getting them all covered. As for your last question we knock instead if touch so we say knock on wood and knock on our heads or anything wooden near by!
Beautiful. We say "knock on wood" in the US.
You could dip dried flowers in black ink, then let them dry out again. You could do a heap advance so they are always available
The colours are stunning, I agree, that is the perfect purple, and I love this bowl. You might want to try using a transparent pigment for some of the coloured parts, so you'd see more of the birds and plants. Fabulous, I'm really inspired. But I don't see how the birds and flowers stuck to the sides of the bowl?
Love it! Agree needed more clear ❤
❤ "Knock on wood" here in the states😊
Stunning. I was hoping this would be your 1st project. Love it. Question can we spray the flowers. I have the same flowers and want to recreate 😅
Hey Claire if you wanted a clear section surely you put that in first amd wait for it to cure a while then add the other parts?! 😊
