It's January 14, 2017 and I have been invited to enter a room full of vintage toys that hasn't been opened in 30 years! The lady told me there was extensive vintage g.I.Joe toys from the sixties and seventies. I have come to this video to refresh my mind on the adventure team toys. I'm about to burst with excitement! Keep looking folks, the toy treasure rooms are still out there! We advertised for vintage toys in the local paper and got a huge response. GO JOE!!!
Wonderful collection! Me and my brother used to make our own stuff. Parachutes made out of plastic trash bags. We would climb on top of our garage and throw them off. On windy days they went quite a distance. We built a platform, attached it to a rope and threw it over the highest branches of trees that we couldn't climb and pulled Joe to the top. Stuff like that. Great fun.
You and your brother did what a lot of us did back in those days. You had FUN! Reading your comments took me back to my childhood days. I have a large collection of these very toys and believe me when I say that my friends and I created some adventures that still brings a smile to my face. No computers or cell phones back then but plenty of imagination. Those that are not permanently buried between the yard and the beach are in my display cases in my home.
I still have my Adventure Team Vehicle from the 60s, along with a Tonka Toy Dump Truck. Not worth much to anyone but me, and so they sit on a shelf, along with a few other tokens collected over the years. Even break out the "o" gauge train set at Christmas on occassion. I guess I will never grow up.
I had the copter with idol/cobra, the headquarters, the training tower, sea sled, AT quad with the winch and literally boxes of clothes and accessories given to me by the oldest son of my grandmother's friends back in 72-73ish. I would love to go back and relive my earliest childhood all over again, wouldn't change anything up until maybe 8th grade years lol...
I think its really cool too ! I remember being in the store and finding Secret of The Mummies Tomb when I was about 8 years old, it was the coolest thing ever, everything was realistic and good quality !

That's an amazing collection. I had a few of these when I was a kid; great memories. I managed to keep my first Joe from 1972.

Did hi joe make a green armored perdonnel cartier like the Irwin.
Hasbro didn’t between 64-76 but the Irwin was licensed through them for GI Joe.
