I am very firmly in camp era 1 is my favourite, no question. I also really love how the further we get into cosmere books the more the cosmere opens up. I think that being confused in fantasy is pretty normal so even if you read all the way through all 7 mistborn books without picking up anything else in the cosmere, it is still satisfying and then if you want the expansion it's there for you to chase. I think Dragonsteel is going to be the exception once we get that. You really won't be able to read that until you've read absolutely everything else

Era 2 is definitely my favorite! Though I love parts of era 1(especially Sazed), I vibed so much more with everything in the 2nd era.

I still think era 1 is my favourite but y'all made me realize some more positive aspects of era 2 (i.e. higher re-read value and better rounded side characters) :)
