    I have, over the last 12 months started the most organized scientific approach to health and nutrition in my life. I am 47 and in the best shape of my life but have a long way to go (sounds like a commercial). I love your scientific, no nonsense approach to fitness and that is the way I think as well. Thanks for the vids, they are great.

    Your whole channel and funky format is so well done and unique. I do not know why your videos are not millions hits each. And now, looking back and after changing my exercise regimine, I am never going back to the "normal" weight training. Thanks for this inspiration. You are doing a lot of people a tremendous service. I have literally watched every video on every topic at least once. And I do see you were droppoing your jab, as stated in the other videos. It is so humble you admitted your mistake and are attemptig to correct it (Or already have!)

      Lol... I’m hoping they get millions of views :) there are tons and tons of people out there that will tell you to do “this” while they are doing something completely different. I like so show people what I actually do so that they can actually achieve some decent results.
      I’m so glad that the videos helped 😎😎😎🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂

    I have been doing 12 rounds of the old school boxing training since early January 2018. Hands down the most enjoyable workouts I have ever done. I love hitting the bag. Skipping is getting better slowly; my kitten punches are improving! It is done in an hour - flys by - use an app on my phone for the boxing rounds. I did this Part 1 workout for the first time today....very hard...very well thought out...I could do about 40% of it but I will stick at it. I can't wait to try parts 2 & 3. Thank you for sharing your expertise Mike, it is inspiring.

      Thank you for trying it out, and like anything else, the more that you do it the easier it will become. You will find that you will be flying in no time and when this summer arrives, you will notice that you have gotten great results :)

I'm not looking to gain mass but to get stronger, lean and gain endurance. You videos are definitely on point. Be blessed and keep up the good work

    amazing video!! I've been training for 5 months and the last month they gym I am attending to has changed the instructor 3 times. I've been thinking about doing my own routine since I've learnt a lot these past month. I will try to follow your very useful principles to do my own routine. Thanks Mike!!

    Finally...waiting for this video for a month. Surprised that you try to gain your weight to give us real example in training and eating well...thank u Mike. While waiting for your next video, can you give example for boxing training especially in combination (i mean 5-6 six punch combination in a row cos in your last advanced heavy bag I just found 3 comb...jab,hook,hook)?

    • @fightyourwayfit
      @fightyourwayfit  7 років тому

      That all depends on your fighting style and even on your opponents. For example, Im a short guy at 6ft for my weight and i often box with guys much taller than I. So i like a double jab then a right hook to the body and a left hook to the head as i come in close. once i close the distance, i pivot to the right and i then throw another right hook to the body, right uppercut and left hook through his guard.
      But don't worry, i have not forgten..i will definitely do a video about stringing punches together for combinations.

    thanks for the great video as always they have really helped to improve my life in the last 8 months and I have a question I have finals coming up and need to cut away workout to study and all that if I were to type up my routine would you be able to tell me what I could shorten but i would still be able to make progress? thanks

    • @fightyourwayfit
      @fightyourwayfit  7 років тому

      Dylan Pocobello that's a great question and the answers is that if you only have time to workout twice a week then do one day of upper body and finish with some cardio then do one day of lower body and some cardio
      If you can only workout out one day then do a full body routine that sees you doing a couple sets for each body part.
      I would still aim to train everything even if it's only a set rather than cutting something out and creating any imbalances ... but if you only had time to train one thing ... then make it legs :)
      The goal during your finals should simply be to maintain what you got ... you'll have time after finals to push forward
      Good luck with your exams... for some reason I used to end up stuffing my face as I studied for finals so I hope you have more will power than I did :)

      Yup I'm pretty lucky. In the city, there is no way i could have made a gym like this but at our home in the rural part of the country, we have a huge amount of space...which is great because they are no gyms at all out there.

    Great job with all your videos! I’m after some boxing shoes and would like to show some support for your videos so could you post link of Everlast supplier you would like us to buy from.

      Lol... the weights are always relative and so 2 plates for me is not too far from my body weight... so it’s like doing push-ups 🙂
      The shoes that I wear in most of the videos are from Everlast.com. I have 2 pairs and they have been quite durable.
      Thanks for watching all the way from Australia 😎😎

    What are good foods to eat if I want to gain weight

    • @fightyourwayfit
      @fightyourwayfit  7 років тому

      If you are looking to gain muscle then you need foods that have adequate protein and calories. Then it all becomes a matter of foods that you like to eat.....just try your best to stay away from simple sugars and trans fats

      Everlast Nutrition Yes I was very skeptical but I really enjoy mine actually. I attached some workout bands to the seat and the base to make it harder. I also attached a A bar to add some weights.

    do strong biceps make my hooks harder, EN?

    • @fightyourwayfit
      @fightyourwayfit  7 років тому +1

      Not really as the power for your hooks comes from the rotation of your core. In fact, your arm does not really move all that much in relation to your body if the hook is thrown properly

    • @ngocps45
      @ngocps45 7 років тому +1

      so what kinds of muscle should i train to strengthen my hooks and uppercuts?

    • @fightyourwayfit
      @fightyourwayfit  7 років тому

      If you asked the boxers with the best hooks and uppercuts like Tyson and Frazier they will tell you legs...all the power starts in the legs

      Im using some furniture lifting straps and like you said you can buy them for 15-20$. and if you can get actual trx straps on eBay for 20$...then all the better. Thanks for the tip : )

      Everlast Nutrition One other piece of workout equipment that was cheap that I was really surprised with how much I liked it was the ISO 7x workout bar (compression bar with straps). I got mine for about $14 at Ross a while back. You can workout almost every every muscle group in your upper body. And it is completely different than what you are used to doing. You can also do some really good isometric exercises with it. It's not going to replace anybody's free weights, but it something good to have when you want to change it up a bit. Have you ever tried one? what do you think
