  • Here we are, at the wonderful Earl's Court Station, with all of it's glory!! This is known to be the 'Hub' for the District Line, as services diverge from this point onwards, into multiple branches, as evident in the tube map. Also, Earl's Court also happens to the be the place where driver interchanges happen, where operators begin or end their shifts. I have to say, Earl's Court is a marvellous looking station, particularly the District Line portion as that is where all the fun and hassle is at!
The fact that across the entire Underground network, this is the one and only station that services an entire hall of platforms in the station, solely for one line, which is just ground-breaking for me!! Of course, towards the end we shall wrap up the film with some Piccadilly Line action, also quite busy, but the excitement the upper-level platforms had built and brought, was just epic!

I personally had an amazing experience and time at this wonderful station, and just happens to be one of my top visits of the year!! For real, Earl's Court was definitely something else, no other station I thought offered, as there was always something going on during my three day visit here! Whether that was legend drivers giving a few nice whistles, passengers running from one train across to the other, or some legend passengers slamming their way into the train through the closing doors, or others even attempting to board a moving train😂 I thought it was pure level of craziness here at Earl's Court, but definitely gave me a few laughs while editing this beast!!
With that said, that is another Underground Section complete, of the District and Piccadilly Lines, and this was the perfect way to end it! You can find the full playlist down below! Enjoy this extravaganza film to fullest!!

Hello again Faizul, this is my second time commenting on your videos. I am a 50 year old man who developed an interest in the Underground at age 2; I was born with a disability, so my immigrant parents had to take me to Westminster Children's Hospital since birth, we'd always travel to the hospital by Underground so that's how my interest developed. To be honest with you I'm not keen on computerised Underground trains because they are not the ones I grew up with, my all-time favourite Underground trains were the 1962 TS which ran on the Central Line until the last one was scrapped in 1995. My all-time favourite Sub-Surface Underground train was the R.49 Stock which ran on the District Line from 1950, until 1983; though I also love other old Underground trains built between 1931-1983. The R.49 Stock had unusual design features one of which was that the body-sides flared outwards at floor level by 5"; to compliment this design feature the top sections of glazed ventilators (opening windows) also flared outwards in a kind of diamond shape; one car of this type has survived into preservation at the Acton Depot Museum, unfortunately even though 3 cars of R Stock have survived, they cannot be coupled together to form a working unit.
I like your videos because there are very few criticisms of them from me. What annoys me about other Underground videos on UA-cam is when creators add music to them, it ruins the experience because enthusiasts want to hear natural sounds of the Underground trains and other infrastructure. Another thing that annoys me is when people filming point their camera in the wrong direction, there is a video filmed in another country's metro station where he is going down a escalator shaft, yet his camera is pointing at the ceiling of the escalator shaft where there is nothing to look at, it should have been pointing towards the bottom of the escalator shaft where there are people. Another thing that annoys me is when creators don't pan their camera to follow the movement of the departing train. Lastly another thing that annoys me is content creators who are disorganised, they don't plan how they're going to film the important elements, one such idiot boards a 1992 TS train at the Ealing Broadway terminus, and starts dithering about with his camera as he can't decide where he should be pointing his camera; you hardly make any of these mistakes. UA-cam is also flooded with utterly pointless video-clips taken on phones just showing a departing train, what is the point of that?.
How did your interest in the Underground develop?, and how old are you?

Hi there. Thank you so much for sharing these fascinating experiences. Really warm my Heart to know that you enjoy the channel’s content as I try to always put the best I can in my work! Some very interesting you mention about the older rolling stock!! Sadly, I am far too young to ever witness trains such as the R Stock as these were in service likelihood, before I was even imagined!😅 Nevertheless, I have been able to witness C and D Stock units as they were my childhood.
As for your question, what got me into the Underground? Probably, the most likely fact that I always lived near a Tube Station in East London and during events such as school trips or family outings in Central London, we would always have to take the train and I guess excitement kept on building since at the time! Thanks again, sir!✨

@@faizul_thetrainspotter125 Thank you for replying. You mentioned the C and D stocks, I loved them when they were in their original state with unpainted Aluminium bodies, and original interiors; the C Stock in particular sounded a bit different prior to their refurbishment. The D Stock was put in passenger service from January 1980, but it wasn't until 1981 that I traveled on it for the first time, back then I didn't like the D Stock because it gave a smoother and less nosier ride than Underground trains of the 50's and 60's; however by the late 80's I fell in love with the D Stock for the duration it remained in it's original condition prior to it's red white and blue livery. I don't expect you to reply to this, bye.

I wonder if you could recomend which stations to visit to see the most units from every line and a rough time scale at each one. Two oldies are planning a 2 day trip but need some help as 1 guy has trouble walking when changing tube lines.
Any help would be gratefully received. Cheers John

Hi John. Thanks for reaching out! Well, depends on what you are in the lookout for! If you are in search for variety of Rolling Stock, I would recommend KX as that station covers six of the lines! Other suggestions include Bank (not my favourite though) as there is also great variety with the DLR and the W&C Line. Both stations have lifts as well. Other suggestions include Earl's Court, Hammersmith and Westminster becuase, if you notice in the video, they have some of the most magnificient station designs in my opinion. All the stations listed have lifts and good accessibility as well! As for timings, I would suggest the non-peak hours, because as you can imagine, these stations can get extremely busy during peak hours. Let's not even talk about Bank. Based on my travelling experiences, one of the best timings include between 10am and 2pm, as around late morning hours to midday, you may have a good chance of having a whole tube carriage to yourself! I hope this answers your questions. Have a safe trip!🙂✨️
