Ronaldo has scored 18 goals in all comps. Take away his CL goals (which besides YB have been pretty good) your left with 12 PL goals. Take his 2 pens away that’s 10 non-pen league goals he scored. I agree with you. Think of it this way. Between 1992-2009ish teams played with 2 strikers. For conversation sakes we'll say every team played 442. So that's 40 strikers which means more room for top class players. The top 6 teams would have 12 of the best strikers. Nowadays teams play with a sole striker, so that's 20 strikers. Top 6 teams have the best 6 strikers. And even then arsenal don't. In essence, the development of the game has caused a drop off in the overall quantity of quality strikers

benzema can definitely chat to kane in terms if who the best striker is in the world, they have the exact same playing style and with what margs was saying with Lewandowski besides son and himself no one is scoring consistently for Tottenham and we can take this back to last season where kane introduced that part of his game we need a full season out of kuliusevski to see if he is prem worthy. Lewnadowski doesn't have to become a playmaker to prove he's the best 9 in the world, he's got world class playmakers like kimmich and Muller behind him who make goalscoring easier for him. I'm a Kane hater at heart, but bias aside I have to agree with Specs. Kane isn't as dangerous and that might be a reason why he wasn't who the world thought was robbed of a Balon d'Or. Solely in the prem, with all the marketing behind him, it's hard for most defenders to not be shook when he's in front of them. Same case for Cristiano.
