Clearly very comfortable being surrounded by controversy, Daylyt seems to have the singular goal of becoming the most talked about figure in battle rap. Not far from achieving his goal, his recent antic-centric performances have earned him both a legion of followers and haters alike, a fact that doesn't seem to bother him one bit. The Watts, CA emcee does not just act out in battles; he has more than the skills needed to back up his actions. Known for packing his bars full of associate wordplay and coldly delivered punchlines, Day has proven time and time again that he is a threat to any and all challengers willing to step into the ring with him. With an impressive resume including matches against Shotty Horroh, Pass, and Math Hoffa, Daylyt is back in his native state ready to take on one his toughest opponents to date.
One of the most legendary figures to grace a battle stage, Head Ice is about as revered as battle rappers come. A veteran coming out of the Lionz Den, Ice has been battling for years, dating back to street corner battles in Harlem against historic emcees such as Big L. This was just a better version of Charlie Clips vs X-Factor. Na, it was a good battle. Both of these men came with high quality material, and they showed real sportsmanship. Daylyt didn't do his antics because he was in the ring with a well known, respected battle rapper, which makes the battle conducive to his overall progression. Hence he feels he has something to prove, which is he can hang with or destroy all of them (his words "kill all these niggas"). I.C.E. came with some material I didn't expect to come from him. That's cause all his older battles were verses from his old songs, and all performance. When he writes for his opponent, he certainly proves he's worthy of any stage. He brought the street shit all the URL fans like, and he mixed it with jokes, humor, crowd control, basically the whole kitten kaboodle. Bottom line, both men won in my opinion, because they entertained and brought great material. Awesome battle.

I also like the fact that they were almost dressed the same, in black and with almost the same cap on, it made the clash of styles even more interesting.
Daylyt was dropping lyrical gems and wordplay all throughout his verse.
The thing I really like with the one-rounder is that you can hear the battler flow for a longer time and be more at ease with his own style.
This is the best Daylyt we had in a long time - well, he had so many battles this year - the Daylyt that he said was never acknowledged, the Daylyt with pure bars.
It's funny cause on first watch I had Head Ice winning; then when you watch it for the second time you realize that Daylyt did none of the antics head Ice talked about and it kind of work in Daylyt's advantage and made his bars sound even better.
I love his "7.45" scheme. That was a dope way to end his verse.
The Head ice verse. He had to warm up for a couple of minutes, before getting to the best part of his verse, the "personals". And he went through all of them, breaking down Day's character like noone's ever done before.
Then he spat some street shit, some street wisdom, then went back to more jokes. Ice is so rarely on stage, we'll forgive him for making his round longer... he looked very happy there.

If you look closely, every battle, the battlers are dressed the same, they will either wear the same shit on their head, same cap, or same tshirt, or whatever.
