I have one of these. I have not found that you need to leave it closed until it beeps. After you psh! psh! the steam, a quick close and you’re good to go. That speeds things up and minimizes annoying beeps. 😄
It takes a while to get used to, but I haven’t ever touched an iron again since I started using a press. Best purchase ever; mine is much smaller, though.

Pin the collar flap over the edge of the press. I’ve pressed my uniform in the Army for 7 years and that did the trick 9/10.
The collar is the easiest bit. Sleeves are not always easy depending on the cut.

It's not, actually; but there is a learning curve for sure. But when one gets used to it, there is no going back to regular irons, trust me 😊
