  • Here’s my review of the new OneBlade 360 from Philips Norelco. The innovative 360 Blade can flex in all directions to adjust to the curves of your face. The design enables constant skin contact and control so you can easily trim and shave hard-to-reach areas- with fewer strokes and greater comfort.
    OneBlade follows the contours of your face allowing you to effectively trim and shave all areas of your face and neck. It’s close, but not too close, so your skin stays comfortable and you can avoid razor burn or ingrown hairs, like with electric razors.

    My favorite shaving device as well now. I do like a close foil shaver, but I slowly realized I didn’t like cleaning the foil shaver and didn’t shave often enough to really need a foil shaver. One blade all the way.

      I ruined my foil shaver blades specifically because they are a massive pain to clean thoroughly, and a set of blades and foils for it costs more than a complete Oneblade 360. So I am very seriously thinking of getting the Oneblade. Also, DO NOT get the pieces of plastic with foils attached out of the foil shaver head to clean them unless it says in the manual you can do that, no matter how uncleanable the head is. They are very hard to get back in without bending. And a bent foil will end up having a hole in that place after a week, and will eat your face.

    C'mon! Love it. Great review, I've been considering a foil shaver (Panasonic Arc6 or Philishave s9000) but both are bulky and take a solid 20-30 minute process with cleaning, etc. Your input on the ONE blade particularly now with 360 head is a God send for quick and easy trimming

    One thing I've noticed with some trimmers is size adjustment slip.
    When trimming with the One Blade does the adjustable knob slip (to different length numbers) at all or does it stay solid. Is it easy to accidently move the knob for a newbie?
    I like the comb attachments moreso than the universal multi size attachments. Maybe cause I'm old school. 😂
    The One Blade does have a lot of accessory options which I think is awesome!

    I've liked that it doesn't feel like a 60/40 chance (in favor of) it nicking the adams apple like the normal version. Mine finally died after like 6 years of 1-3 days of use. The 360 solved the whole "If this hits my neck wrong I'm in the same boat as a straight razer..." problem that OG one had at times. Even though it was usually my fault for being "It's so short, I can just go up to down.." lazy with it.

    Thanks for the review. Did you notice any power difference between the 360 and the original? How about how long it lasts on one charge or the speed of discharge before recharging? I ask because the original has a NiMH battery while the 360 has a Lithium Ion battery. Lithium Ion is known for outputting move volts and is slower to discharge within a month. So far, I haven't found any reviews on battery life or power difference. For me, the original would work perfectly and don't need the 360 blade, but am deciding whether to invest in the 360 just for the lithium Ion battery. Thanks

    If I shave my face clean 2 times a week and my body once a week, how long will the blade last? I know that everyone says 4 months, but I want to know if this figure will definitely not be less. Because the price of replacement blades is quite high. Now I use disposable razors and I'm thinking of switching to either a philips oneblade or a gillette fusion5 proglide. The only question is what will be more economical.

    • @averageguytested
      @averageguytested  Рік тому

      You need two blades for OneBlade the way you want to use it. One blade for body grooming and the other to shave - that being said the economics are probably similar. The fusion will give you a closer shave, but I would not use it to manscape so you’ll probably need to add a device for that. Thanks for watching 👋🏽 hope this helps.

      Hey there 👋🏽 so I don’t actually use OneBlade like a typical shaver because I’m always doing new product reviews - but that being said, I use it all the time to clean up shaves, to trim and even the neaten up my hair (what little I have left) OneBlade is designed to show a green patch on the face of the blade when it’s ready to be changed - so look for that and dulling. Thanks for watching- I hope this helps.

    What i want to know what happens if you don't change the head in time and just keep using the old one for what ever reason. Perhaps a shipping delay or something. If not it would make financial sense to get it over the one blade.

      About 3 months or so for normal use - which is about 3 times a week. You’ll know when the blade needs to be changed when the surface or face of the blade starts to wear out green.

      Hey there, James. I’ve never used it to shave my head, but I’d probably say that you can get a better product with more horsepower designed specifically for head shaving. OneBlade is an amazing Swiss Army- type grooming machine and could probably work for head shaves in a pinch, but you’d most certainly run through blades quickly and they’re not cheap.

    @TheMediaMart Hey there, I just found a brand new Razor I think you might like to try…. It’s the BIC Easy Rinse disposable razors…. The handles are probably the best ergonomics on a disposable, and it has 4 blades & and an aloe lube strip…. They claim it’s easier to rinse & long lasting. They also put nice covers on them…. Just saw them at the grocery store today and bought a pack…. Will try them tomorrow….

    • @billjohnsonseattle
      @billjohnsonseattle Рік тому

      @@averageguytested They are awesome! Closer than anything I’ve ever used, and very long lasting. I dry mine with a hair dryer for 20 seconds after each use, and so far I’m on 14 shaves with it and it still shaves great (and I have a very thick beard too!) I’m guessing you can easily get 20 shaves out of these, and as far as I can see these are identical to the cartridge versions as I also picked up some of those too. As much as I love DE razors and their cost savings, nothing beats the Bic Easy Rinse for closeness, ease of shave and their ability to shave with zero nicks, cuts & irritation, they’re THAT GREAT!!

    • @billjohnsonseattle
      @billjohnsonseattle Рік тому

      @@averageguytested Update: I just logged shave #15 with the Bic Easy Rinse this morning, and the shave quality is still at a top notch super smooth level of incomparable BBS. I will update again on how far I can go with this razor before it needs to be replaced. (I keep a running tally logged with all of my razors & blades) YOU GOTTA TRY THESE! I’d recommend getting the cartridge version, as this razor is a keeper and it’s better economically to reuse the handle instead of throwing away an entire razor every time.

    • @billjohnsonseattle
      @billjohnsonseattle Рік тому

      @@averageguytested Today marked shave #30 with the Bic Easy Rinse razor. I have a thick beard, and each shave consists of 1 pass WTG, 1 pass ATG, and some touch ups. It’s still shaving just fine, nick & irritation free. I rinse it well and pat the razor dry with a piece of TP, and blast it with hot air from a blow dryer after each use, which really helps prolong the life of the blades. At this point I don’t know how many more shaves I’ll try with it, but I’ll let you know when I call it quits. Best razor I’ve ever used, and it also has a nice trimmer blade on the top for getting into tight places just like the Gillette Fusion has. Walmart sells the refills for 8.47 for a pack of 4 cartridges. If you get 30 shaves out of them thats about 7 cents per shave. If you stretch it to 40 shaves that’s about 5 cents per shave. Definitely affordable for just about anyone, and with the closeness & nick free shaves you get with it, its totally worth it IMO.
