- "Nude" was written in 1997, and the band began to perform it live soon after. However, a recording was not included on any Radiohead album until 10 years later.
It became known as "Big Ideas", with the parenthetical "(Don't Get Any)" often added. Apparently this title was at the suggestion of fans, as the song officially had no title yet, but appeared on some setlists as "Nude" or "Neut".

I saw them debut this at a show in Dallas in March of 98.....this early version has the most heft in my opinion....also like the studio version of Fog the best, and the old arpeggio version of True Love Waits better than what we eventually got....and the early live version of Videotape!

As much as I loved the understated, "less is more" version this song eventually became, this song sounded best played on with an organ. Thom's a great singer, but that solo/bridge part is less interesting when he just sings the notes. The tone in this version works better given the nature of the lyrics. There's more emotional weight to it all. He seems to show more emotion singing as well. And the song may not have needed that final verse and chorus, it left more of an impact, Plus it's more effective an ending and it fits the them.
The biggest problem with Nude is the name. It's not terrible, but Big Ideas (Don't Get Any) was just such a perfect title for anything. Ditching that should never have been on the table. Still Nude is great. It could have been a disaster given how much they worked on it. I just think this is one they had right from the get go. They get so much right, this is one I feel they got wrong.

I totally agree, this version was better for it's emotional power.
