Thank you for showing how to use 60° diamond ruler. I have been intending to get a triangle but will definitely go with this diamond. The table topper is beautiful.
I'd like to order that diamond ruler my dear. How do I purchase it? I do t see it here . Your such a great teacher, and explain every detail. Your the best!! I have two Bernina sewing machines. I love them.
love the pattern, i was wondering if instead of Y seams could you just cut the white set in triangle shape and cut it in half and sew it to the top of the strip set and then there would be a centered seam in the white triangle part?
We do have measurements available on the Free Download here: www.shabbyfabrics.com/free-downloads-and-video/78/how-to-use-the-60o-diamond-ruler-to-make-a-table-topper , but this project was designed for use with the Creative Grids 60 Degree Diamond Ruler. Hope that makes sense! 💖 -Michelle
@@ShabbyFabrics Thank you for responding! Yes, it makes sense and I can see how a special ruler would make sure of success in cutting. So much easier too!

Hi Jodi! Make sure you grab the free download pattern here: www.shabbyfabrics.com/free-downloads-and-video/78/how-to-use-the-60o-diamond-ruler-to-make-a-table-topper We do highly recommend the Creative Grids 60 Degree Diamond ruler to go along with this project. While we do not have a video detailing the binding for this project, you can read the instructions for the binding on the download to help, and we can let you know that we e mitered the corners exactly like we would miter corners on a quilt, making sure we stopped 1/4" before we got to the edge of the topper. We folded the binding up and back down then started sewing 1/4" in from the edge. The angle is 120 degrees, the same as the setting triangles. Hope this helps!! -Michelle
I know someone asked about the white marker, but you directed them to the Chaco marker, and not the white marker PEN you were using in the video...What is that called, and where can you buy them? I'm always looking for something like that, and can never find one...This came out beautiful...Thank you for the Tutorial!
Hi Karen! We are so glad you have enjoyed this video. Unfortunately, we no longer sell that particular notio that you are referring to, but you can find our new one here: www.shabbyfabrics.com/Mark-B-Gone-Marking-Pen-P72641.aspx?preview=true Hope this helps!! -Michelle
Hi, could you tell me what the seam allowance is for when you sewed the strips together? I bought the kit and could not see in the instructions what the seam allowance for this was, so I just assumed it would be a standard 1/4" allowance. When I sewed the strips together like this, it turned out a lot smaller than yours. Is this allowance wrong? Thanks.
@@ShabbyFabrics Yes, I was referring to that. Thanks for your response and thanks so much for the wonderful videos. I always look forward to seeing what you will be doing next. Your videos are very helpful and help me to try things I never thought I would be able to do.

Hi Michelle. I am trying this pattern but my initial sides are not matching unless I turn 2 right sides up and 1 down. Am I cutting this wrong.
Hi Judy - Are you using our Free Download for this project as your cutting guide? www.shabbyfabrics.com/free-downloads-and-video/78 -Michelle
Will try that thank you. I cut 2 inch strips instead of 1 1 2.
Can this pattern have instructions for cutting without the ruler?
