Hi, lovely flowers! In case it is of use - to save lots of cutting fabric - in the uk - you can buy packs of non-sterile gauze swabs in 4 inch and 2 inch squares quite cheaply in packs of 100. I am going to try them for a wreath as I have bad arthritis and can't do lots of cutting now. Thanks for inspiration! x
Love everything you do...have gotten some wonderful inspiration from you...just wanted to share the little trick I do to shabby the flowers and make them fray....I scrub them on a folded towel...makes for a lot of frayed and shabby edges...
Thank you so much Gi, those flowers are really really awesome and stunning and gorgeous too, I really really love ❤️ how you made them. Please stay safe and well too xxx Mags
Hi Gi! Thank you for the great video tutorial! I love the Shabby Chic Fabric Flowers that you created...they are perfect! You do good work and make me want to try my hand at it! Thanks for the video showing me the entire process. I think that I will be able to follow your instructions easily. I'm going to watch you again, one more time, just to be sure I can do it successfully! lol. TFS Happy Creating! Samantha
So happy you joined Junk Journal Tutorials and I have found your channel...these are the kind of flowers that I love the most..thank you for the video. I am also following you on your .....Happiness, hearts and pretty things.....page....You have a fan ..lol...Irene Cloutier (JJTutorials.
Thank you, When I started making vidoes which was only about a month ago ! I was really not sure if anyone would like what I made. Now when I get lovely comments like your Irene, it makes me so happy to know that people do ! Thank you so much for following me. Hugs Gi x
Oh lovely flowers.... I love them all shabby and really fluffy looking. Oh btw its called a running stitch ( the up and down stitch as you called it) 😊😊
My Mum taught me to sew when I was young but I don't do it now I tend to leave it to her. She does different needlework from sewing, knitting and cross stitch but I am enjoying watching all your embellishments though, I started doing mixed media last year. I am a jewellery maker and glass beadmaker taking a change in direction so the mixed media is my new journey... so I know what you mean!!! Lots to learn but always fun :) :)
Gil, you are very talented. When you do the double seam binding flowers, do you make 2 separate ones and then sew them together at the centre? Or do you double over the seam binding and then start the up and down stitch? In Canada, we call the up and down stitch, a running stitch or a basting stitch.
Thank you Bev, I use 2 pieces of seam binding and sew them together. You can make 2 seperate ones and put one on top of the other. Can you tell that I do not sew very often ! Now I know what to call it ! Thank you so much for you comment and watching my videos hugs Gi x
Brilliant, ty 💕
