I've wondered throughout tourney why decks that didn't have access to first turn draw get a first turn draw. That extra first turn draw boosts them to be better than they were while the older decks stay the same. There's a reason many decks would go second on the coin flip for that extra combo piece
+iv0luti0n BA players should always be extremely careful in pushing through disruption heavy backrow like 'tellars. The BA player in here was completely reckless and yolo'd through backrow like he can get back through anything but as it shown here, he can't.
+Cesar Ruiz The biggest mistake was in game 1 turn 1 where instead of attempting to make another dante, he should have set and waited. Any BA player knows that if this next dante attempt is disrupted, they would lose the game outright. Next turn, should have attempted to make dante, detached, attempt for another BA, and then activated the fire lake. Slightly riskier but at that point, it would have been game if he didn't do it or it fails. Last game, he should have set vanity's. There was way too much SS going on and the risks of it being moot was less than the risk of even more advantage for the opponent the next turn.
+GreenAlpha Depends on the format and the match-up. for instance, EmEm wins if they go first in the mirror, and they win regardless of going first or second against any other deck.
Ah, I see. Yea, I love Shaddolls ... Wish Construct wasn't banned D: *shoulda been limited* but of course, Konami gotta milk the money off them Kozmos so we can't have a card that screws them over ... and I actually like Kozmos haha. Eh, at least thos tourney is giving them a shot at glory
dbzsongoku1 Why? bas are just a lame rank 3 deck that keeps being raped by the banlist it's very boring to play and is just a inter racial offspring of Dark Worlds and lightsworns
The latter build featuring Fiend Grieving, Barbar, Mathematician and a lot of traps would have performed better. With this I'm not insinuating that the build picked was not optimal, in fact it's been the most successful build for the archetype, so the one that had to be picked.
+nomia el winda And if I used Dark Law Burning Abyss with Mask Change II against another deck where Dark Law sucks against, you'd prob also complain about how Dark Law sucks against X deck, and that I should have picked another version of BA.. ;-)
Again, playing with the old rules, going first = gg. I understand the reasoning behind playing with the old rules for the tournament, but the new rule is just better. Playing like this just turns cluse matchups into a coin flip game :(
+Ariel Gomes Pretty much the same with the opening-5-rule though ;D But then it's the other way around (for most decks, not all ofcourse).. It's something I'm considering though, the opening rule for an upcoming tournament =)
+rockthahouse1 pretty sure even the ppl that play tellarknights secretly dislike tellarknights lol the deck is just so linear n a pain to play against.inb4 I get called a salty scrub by some random
This video doesn't say that Tellars are better than BA, but it shows why going first is prior to win games, especially with meta decks.
+Sizar Ghassan actually, the first turn draw helps the new generation decks too much
***** Not less than a win condition.
Sizar Ghassan this video does prove that honestly this is bad tellarknight build and it took down ba at its best,
Lol that double mind crush hit was too nasty.

Vega Control vs Dante & Friends
Really dificult for some decks deal with masive backrow, good duel : )
+Freddx L. Thanks ^_^
I really love playing with decks that were once broken but got hit on the banlist, I never played with BA but now that's the only deck I play
Is it possible to switch to best of 5s for the top 16 decks?
+serenades666 Yeah I think the semi-finals and the finals should be best out of 5.
+serenades666 Top 4 an on is best out of 5 =)
+Lithium2300 they should be best of sevens ;( jk. Alrighty then.
ba at the time was runing dark law for tallerknight?
i think that the trap-heavy-build of BA is better than the older one despite the limitation of tour guide
mmmmmm goodness that BA decklist is so suboptimal.
Hahaha, f@!#ing awesome. Good for Tellars, I hate Burning Abyss with passion.
With a BURNING passion? :P
+VirtueCelica94 ahahah me too
yeah BA's don't have alot of options with rank 3 toolbox and all their negation with diamond alphas etc
The BA player made some very sub optimal plays that cost him the game multiple times.
+DarkFireBlade25 What were the suboptimal plays?
+iv0luti0n BA players should always be extremely careful in pushing through disruption heavy backrow like 'tellars. The BA player in here was completely reckless and yolo'd through backrow like he can get back through anything but as it shown here, he can't.
+DarkFireBlade25 please provide a specific example to what you would have done differently and back it up with some reasoning.
He played optimal the fact is that tellars backgrow is far superior than ba and that's why they won
+Cesar Ruiz The biggest mistake was in game 1 turn 1 where instead of attempting to make another dante, he should have set and waited. Those opening hands for Satellars were ridiculously good
And Tellers remind us why they are among the current best CC Decks. XD
That back row was lethal, BA was at a nasty disadvantage. lol
ba vs sknight, most of the time the coin flip decides this match up. at least in my experience
+Tobey Wins Hmhm, yeah, opening the game, especially with the 6-card rule, has been too important in the history of this game =p
Isn't YuGiOh a coin flip always?
+GreenAlpha lol no. It's a pay2win
+GreenAlpha Depends on the format and the match-up. for instance, EmEm wins if they go first in the mirror, and they win regardless of going first or second against any other deck.
+zackolot proof?
yay! good match plus shaddolls vs satellars.... going to be pretty interesting
Oh whoa, didn't expect Tellars to win :D
Definitely some interesting insight on how I can tweak my deck...
Well, hopefully Dollies can clean them up in the top 8 ... but at least BA are gone ... cannot stand them. Then again, I hate Tellars also
rockthahouse1 Tbh, between Dolls vs Tellars I don't know who I'd root for D: I love them both!
Ah, I see. Yea, I love Shaddolls ... Wish Construct wasn't banned D: *shoulda been limited* but of course, Konami gotta milk the money off them Kozmos so we can't have a card that screws them over ... and I actually like Kozmos haha. Eh, at least thos tourney is giving them a shot at glory
rockthahouse1 Do you think Construct could come back to three if they made it so you could only Special Summon one copy per turn?
I'd be fine with it at 3 with that restriction tbh so yea, I think so.
Fuck....I Hate Tellars with a passion...I wanted BA to win
dbzsongoku1 Why? bas are just a lame rank 3 deck that keeps being raped by the banlist it's very boring to play and is just a inter racial offspring of Dark Worlds and lightsworns
The Night Stalker 1 Year Later...Yeah the deck is still tier 1 but it wasnt annoying back then now it is
dbzsongoku1 it's not tier 1 and is pretty easy to beat Satellarknights are hella cool and way better especially because it's rank4
The Night Stalker This was a year ago.. Tellarknights were annoying ass fuck during that time
dbzsongoku1 their better
Great match !
I thought BA will win this but it was a close match nonetheless.
Keep up the awesome work Lithium2300 :)
No Skill Drain for BA? Are you kidding? And no Traveler either? Super sub-optimal
BA VS Satellar, feels like yesterday
The latter build featuring Fiend Grieving, Barbar, Mathematician and a lot of traps would have performed better.
With this I'm not insinuating that the build picked was not optimal, in fact it's been the most successful build for the archetype, so the one that had to be picked.
That BA build was wierd as hell. But yeah.
shaddolls gonna win!
Rank 4 toolbox every time...
if get was using a better ba built with dark law ba would have had a better chance.
+nomia el winda And if I used Dark Law Burning Abyss with Mask Change II against another deck where Dark Law sucks against, you'd prob also complain about how Dark Law sucks against X deck, and that I should have picked another version of BA.. ;-)
Lithium2300 side deck?
+nomia el winda no side deck for this turney
Shaddolls top 4 confirmed.
SAVAGE mind crush
bas are no where near as good as Satellar knights BA's are a rank 3 toolbox rank 4's always the best and Satellars are better with my build
Let's go Tellars!
It was obvious noob knights were going to win.
wow
#TeamTellarknight
tellarknights are the best deck. They would be better with Shock Master unbanned.
#UnlocktheShock2016
Yung first
Going 1st is still an advantage, as shown by this duel. Surprised Tellars won tho.
Oh and I hate both decks so yea, unbiased
+rockthahouse1 pretty sure even the ppl that play tellarknights secretly dislike tellarknights lol the deck is just so linear n a pain to play against.inb4 I get called a salty scrub by some random
They prolly do haha
I don't know why tellars are waaaaay better than bas
Dante Redgrave compared to past ftk decks floodgate decks or a deck like kozmos that just sit on a bunch of undestroyable beat sticks?
