    I can't believe how you can melt that glass down and shape it so easily. Awesome stuff!

      Hi Kelly! Thanks so much for your comment. Hopefully this will be the first of many new tutorials. I don't know why but YT stopped showing my videos when I took a break from posting for a few months..... It feels like I'm starting over lol. Hope all is well! Sim

      @@FusingShop it really bad they stopped showing your videos because they are really good and a great learning tool. Have you tried duel steaming to YT and Kick to get extra screen time in one? So you widen your ordinance as your videos deserve to get a lot of screen time for their educational value and for you too

      @@kellytomic5372 Hey Kelly! Thank you so much for you kind comment. I'm happy you're enjoying my videos. I've been putting in a lot of extra effort in making them fun and educational. I've never tried live streaming before. I'm not sure if I have enough of an audience to do something like that. TBH I've never heard of Kick. Is that another video server? Hope all is well! Sim

    Cool! It's looking more and more like I'm going to have to give lampworking a go.
    What kind of gloves do you recommend for beginners ? I could see myself dripping some molten glass on my hands! Lol

      @FusingShop  9 місяців тому +1

      Hi Ken! That's awesome. Once you start working with glass, it's hard to stop. So I don't use any gloves for handling the glass. You need your fingers to be able to rotate the glass and I don't know of any gloves that give you that freedom. Maybe someone else can chime in here. All the best! Sim

      @@FusingShop I noticed in your tutorials that you didn't wear any gloves. It's hard for me to do any kind of work while wearing gloves, but sometimes working with flat glass, glass gloves are a neccessity. The reason i was wondering about it is that ball of molten glass looks somewhat intimidating to the bare flesh, being new to lampworking and all. I know that once you work with it a while, you'll learn the melt "rate" and the firmness/softness of the glass.
      I'm definetly interested! Thank you for the advice and the tutorials, Sim!

      @@kenhenry3005 Hi Ken! I hear what you're saying about the molten glass looking intimidating. I've seen people drop hot glass on their clothes and it's no joke. Once that ball of fire touches anything it will instantly catch on fire. If you can, I recommend taking an in-person lesson because there is nothing like working with someone who can fine-tune your technique as you're working the glass. I do my best to cover all the basics in my tutorials but everyone is different and it could be a minor tweak that changes everything for you. Just so you know, I still get burns from the glass lol. All the best! Sim
