Love you're tutorials Kassiah. Yes, you can sharpen Pinking shears. Take them to a scissor sharpener service. Here in Oz we have mobile services that come to homes and businesses to sharpen scissors on a regular basis every 3 months or so. :)

Siah, if you cut your lining using the lining pattern, you don't need to increase your seam allowance for her patterns. She builds that in, so you will notice the lining pattern piece is different. The first time I did her patterns that confused me and I thought I did something wrong.
I want to make the body of the bag and flap one piece instead of sew the two parts together because I don’t want to match up the body. I have some LV vinyl. Would I have to change anything on the pattern or just tape the right and left body pattern pieces and cut from that. And do the same with the flap? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I think that if you cut aluminum foil with your pinking shears it will sharpen them. I have done this with scissors. Couldn’t hurt. Great video

You would have to account for the seam allowance when you make the two pieces into one.
Couldn’t you top stitch the front and lining and back and lining so you wouldn’t have to stitch around the inside at the end?
It will lay better at the end stitching the way I do in the video
