Lustrous Razor - Generically the worst value as the signature Broablades are better by a lot (Except for Calcharo). Abyss Surges - One of the worst (no crit value), only usable meta-wise for Xiangli Yao but needs high investment on crit. Can be usable on Roccia. Cosmic Ripples - Same with the Gauntlet (no crit value), more flexible as its usable on Rectifier DPS/Sub-dps, Encore > Zhezhi > Yinlin.

I'm so glad your channel, exists! There are so many META guides out there... most are on point but they don't give the practical advice you do. I'm a UL 80 player and I still get value out of your videos. WuWa's a great game to get into and french_tutor makes it easy. :)
is almost impossible to go wrong with standard weapons in WuWa. They all perform on par with signature weapons with almost no output loss, ofc they're more "generalist" weapons, but still. Considering that they can be obtained practically for free and work very well on support units, is an insane value. make sure to pick clean Rinascita chain quests...some of them end up with a special chest containing 1 standard wish.
Great video! I agree, the "best" is subjective. IMHO all the 5* standard weapons are basically all good. For me, it comes down to who you're maining/playing. IMO you can also spend astrite on the standard weapon banner and it's not a waste. While limited 5* weapons are almost always BIS for their designated limited 5* character, the standard 5* weapons should be considered the base line damage/stats and they're great. You can AND SHOULD target farm the standard 5* weapon for you main characters if you don't have their signatures. Lustrous Razor (broad sword) - If you main, e.g. Calcharo, then it's Lustrous Razor (which is also the second BIS for Jiyan and Jinhsi), so it's great for your account because even if you get Jiyan or Jinhsi later, then you already have a great weapon for them. Static Myst (pistol) - I use it for Mortefi (my favorite sub-DPS), but it's great for Carlotta and Chixia too. Emerald of Genesis (sword) - I have it on Rover, Danjin, Sanhua, and soon Yang Yang. (Yup, I have 3 on my account because it's so solid). It's great on all of them, and Changli (but I'm waiting for Changli's signature to rerun... please rerun in 2.1, Fire Lady :)) Abyss Surges (gauntlet) - Great for Jianxin and Lingyang, and second BIS for Xiangli Yao. You can't go wrong with these gauntlets. Cosmic Ripples (rectifier) - great for Encore and Yinlin, and a fine stat stick for Baizhi, Verina and Shorekeeper (not BIS, you want the 4* rectifier called Variation for each of them as their second BIS, and BIS for Shore Keeper and Biazhi is obviously Shore Keeper's signature weapon). Happy pulls everyone. Remember: WuWa is not actually that predatory when it comes to weapons: 80 pulls = guaranteed. There is no 50/50 and the standard weapons are all great. Your account should basically never suffer for weapons. :)
Bro, at 9:46 I'm glad I watched that segment, because last night I was hallf asleep reading the Jianxin guide on prydwen and I don't have any decent gauntlets to prepare her for (I'm new since 2.0 so I'm still focussed on finising my first team before Jianxin). I'll probably pick the sword and use it on Havoc Rover for the time being.

Static Mist and Emerald Genesis are easily the best options (For any sword user 5* sword selector is optimal for them all, and Static Mist was just Taylor made for Mortefi with a built in off-field buff) . I would ignore the rest
Emerald of Genesis. Ez. Every other character is a sword user, iIt''s usually best in slot for sub DPS characters that will stay in your teams forever, and the main DPS characters you'll pick up later all their own specialized weapons they want to use instead.
if you like to run around in the open world with jianxin, since her healing/shield scales with atk and her burst is a crowd control, the gauntlets are a nice option if you dont care for tower or if you pull the limited signature weapons for the limited 5stars anyways
I accidentally locked in the Lustrous Razor when I started a couple weeks ago, and haven't pulled on it. But my free five star was Calcharo, I didn't realize it worked with his kit that nicely. Thanks for the insight!
great content but i dont agree about the guantlets, been using it with xiangli yao and he constantly dish out 300k damage when crit, the only downside is the ATK% stat, but it can be solved by having crit values in your echo substats, of course his sig is better but this is definitely his second best option, it also works amazingly with Roccia, and at some point in the game, we will see a guantlet user that scaless off basic atk or skill.
just pick whats in need for the account, because over time if u just use oyur standfard pulls on the weapon banner u get all 5* weapons anyway over time, since they arent on a pity counter, i play since day one and im monly missing the gauntlet xD
Been loving all your beginner guides. So I have carlotta, with undying flame equipped, will get zhezhi. I have calcharo as my other dps with a 4s weap equipped. Shall I get the pistol for carlotta? (also planning to get jinshi soon 😭
I’m struggling to choose…I’ve only been using Carlotta,Zhezhi, and Verina. Got both their signature weapons too. I’m tempted to get the energy gun one for verina. I have all characters already except the electric girl. This banner earned me a S6 of all the 4 stars on it. Sanhua, Mortefi and Chixia all S6. So then that’s an argument for the gun, broadsword and sword. Wondering if I get calcharo his weapon, rover/Sanhua theirs or just get Verina the best since it’s the team I use most.
I just started playing and was able to pull Carlotta and found out that Jinhsi is getting a rerun so I pulled static mist to save for Jinhsi…my astrite is coming along nicely😌
You post this 5 minutes after i open my box. Thankfully i had it figured out already. The sword can go to all 3 of my subdps. Pulled carlottas weapon for the meta shift and to avoid pulling zezhi. Pulled cosmic ripples at 75 pitty for encore which was a huge mistake cuz i missed stringmaster. Which turned out to be a win after i pulled verina cuz she and encore can share it.
For me I'm getting Emerald of Genesis from the standard banner for MC. And Cosmic Ripples for Zezhi from the box. For Jinhsi getting her unique weapon!
Pulled Carlotta and ger signature, plus a Zhezhi and the Standard weapon for her, although if i pulla. Better weapon for her, i plan on giving that Ripple to Encore Hittin 40 tomorrow, so i still have at least a week or so to decide what i want from that free case.
Definitely taking the Broadsword for Calcharo. Even though he might not be Meta i will always use him just because how he plays and looks (this dude literally has a devil trigger from DMC)
If youre new to the game, I suggest get the gun or sword. Those are the only ones that have crit rate stats. Other than that, Its your choice really😂 And you can get those from the standard weapon banner. (I have all of those 5 already)

Hmm so I predicted Brant is gonna use the tidebreaking courage set which requires 250% energy. besides 3 cost echoes with energy regen, if he has another way of getting that much energy regen without his weapon, Emerald would be good for him. otherwise, im thinking he needs a weapon with higher ER like Overture (has around 50% ER max lvl) or his signature might have ER as well
Wait whaaaat.. We know that set needs 250% er to give you 30% dmg bonus, but if someone has managed to get say 170 will he get like 14% bonus or it doesn't even trigger at all until 250?

Tower needs 3 teams. You don’t have to get zhezi’s weapon if you don’t want unless you want her to do more damage than she already does! And the 5 star standard rectifier works pretty well on her too

Great stuff, agreed too. Got the sword first, for Havok Rover but you can use it with anyone. I don't see standard pulls showing up in the game much though, so getting more could take a very long time. Speaking of multiple characters, have you done any vids on Tower of Adversity? As much as I'd like to nab the Astrite from the ToA resets, I'm not strong enough to get all the permanent one-time rewards yet. Not super stressed yet, still leveling up with just hitting Union 40, but I'd like to see what you do. Great content, already subbed =D

Most people would say Emerald of Genesis but I would suggest you to go for Static Mist instead. Why? Because who tf cares about using Emerald of Genesis on each and every Sword Unit when you can just get Static Mist and increase your Mortefi's S6 to have insane buffing potential for Jiyan. MORE POWER TO JIYAN!!! Case Closed!
OMG, no no no, bad advice! The Static Mist is NOT good on Chxia or Carlota. Its passive is specifically designed for direct supports: 'When Outro Skill is released, it increases the switched-in Resonator's ATK by 10-20%, stacking up to 1 time(s). This effect lasts for 14s.' This makes it way better for characters like Motrfie and Alto, who can fully utilize its support potential. In fact, this is what makes Static Mist the standout choice on the standard banner-it’s much harder to replace compared to the other standard weapons, which all have better alternatives in slot. That being said, I completely agree that getting a 5-star weapon for your main DPS should come first. After that, save your resources to pull on the limited banner! It’s definitely worth pairing your main DPS with a strong limited weapon for maximum impact. 👍
Yes I know Static Mist is designed to be more support but with it's high base attack and crit rate, it becomes chixia's and carlotta's 2nd best weapons only because 5 star weapons are limited as of now Hopefully we get more 5 star weapons that would suit DPS pistol users more. Otherwise, static mist is just a pure stat stick weapon
@frenchtutor_ I worry you might be walking a lot of people into a trap here. I made the mistake of getting two Emeralds of Genesis, and now I have one at 90 and another at 60 that will never be used again because they’ve been utterly replaced. While I absolutely agree that you need at least one 5-star weapon for your DPS pick ASAP, the key thing to consider is longevity. The Static Mist is the only weapon on the standard banner that is still best-in-slot for its role, and that’s because it’s a support weapon. Its versatility and staying power as a support tool make it invaluable long-term, whereas DPS weapons tend to get replaced as the roster expands. Just something to think about!

It's a perfectly fine weapon for her as it serves as a stat stick, its not a bait or trap at all. Crit rate with high atk and the passive can probably be nice for quickswap comps as well.

Sword, Gun, and Rectifier are the best depending on your needs. Broadsword isn't bad either.
i believe a lot of Zezhi damage is considered basic attack, so Cosmic Ripples could be her second BiS after her sig weapon

that broadsword is not that good, get the sword or the gun, just wait for a Jiyan re run and get his weapon
Make the broadsword your 3rd or 4th priority. Get the sword and gun first. Then decide if you want cosmic ripples first or broadsword.
If youre new to the game, I suggest get the gun or sword. Those are the only ones that have crit rate stats. Other than that, Its your choice really😂 And you can get those from the standard weapon banner. (I have all of those 5 already)

@frenchtutor_ I worry you might be walking a lot of people into a trap here. I made the mistake of getting two Emeralds of Genesis, and now I have one at 90 and another at 60 that will never be used again because they’ve been utterly replaced.
While I absolutely agree that you need at least one 5-star weapon for your DPS pick ASAP, the key thing to consider is longevity. The Static Mist is the only weapon on the standard banner that is still best-in-slot for its role, and that’s because it’s a support weapon. Its versatility and staying power as a support tool make it invaluable long-term, whereas DPS weapons tend to get replaced as the roster expands. Just something to think about!

The standard gun is still good on Carlotta due to it's high base attack and crit substat. Not bad advice at all imo.
It's a perfectly fine weapon for her as it serves as a stat stick, its not a bait or trap at all. Crit rate with high atk and the passive can probably be nice for quickswap comps as well.
