The point isn't to fuck over the people with weaker hardware, it's to sell the game to as many people possible while still maintaining visual fidelity.
Its not just about making graphics bruh..the consoles have to be able to handle these graphics, which puts them at tremendous strain..this is for gaming PC'S.

I haven’t played this game for a long long time and this trailer made me feel like how I saw the first GTA V trailer for the first time. Makes me want to live and experience the world. The editing plays big part too so big props to the editor of the video!
IMO, all the modders should get together and make our own free/open source games so we are no longer beholden to proprietary software by big corporations! Imagine if all the amazing mods for Minecraft where available in a game like Minetest, or if all the amazing mods for Cities: Skylines were put into their own city-building game, or if the graphics talent in this trailer went into making Rigs of Rods look better?
Nah, actually working at a game company will limit your freedom heavily. You can't just make things look or feel how you want to with mods and you would be worked to death.
Pyynical No it’s not, period. Why would they release the remaster for GTA5 the same year GTA6 comes out? That’s just a stupid way to plan out release dates. Even if they weren’t coming out with the remaster most R* games have a very long build up and a trailer is released atleast 2 years before the actual game comes out. Besides they’re going to milk GTA 5 for a couple more years.

People who have never edited videos will not notice many subtle things in this video. For example at 0:25 the shot where the trailer is being tracked with the sun setting behind it, you can feel the VERY slight vibrations of the camera as it tracks the trailer just like it would be in real life (often happens with such shots in movies). But, this is not real life its taken from a game and that subtle camera wobble has been artificially created. The camera slow pan out in that shot was an added challenge. And don't get me started on the transition at 0:34- some very creative usage of a complex masking technique which gets easier to the eye because of keeping the camera behind the pillars in the previous shot (otherwise it would seem too jumpy, here it seems natural) & actually using a polygon mask instead of a simple rectangular mask. At 0:56 that smooth transition needs 2 shots to be setup and synced perfectly which takes a LOT of work. These things (and there are many, many more) must have taken days to create on any editing software. Please show this man some love, he is a legend and he's gonna get a LOT more work. Amazing mod and trailer.
Not to take anything away from what you said, but I believe the shot at 0:56 was just one shot using two camera angles from each person and then syncing them together. Not doing the shot twice.
"expanded and enhanced" just means they are upping the graphics qualities to *almost* pc high settings, and releasing a DLC a few months before every other platform.
I mean, GTAV was. My friend really trolled me telling me this was a remaster for nextgen (PS5/XBSX), it took aaaall the way till “FIVEM compatible” for me to realise that this is just a mod.
Jadi a remaster for GTAV? I don’t think it’s too hopeful to expect one, because the minimum Last generation compatibility is confirmed for both consoles. Might even explain the free epic games give away - they’re gonna charge again for the remaster. Ok yes I know I’m making rockstar look meaner than they are but it’s not impossible, and it’s not even that unlikely. Definitely gonna be charged to buy the same game for the third time. Edit: also important to note that RDR2 has advanced Ray tracing technology that somehow even works on a first generation PS4, so they can easily incorporate a lot of this videos features in their remaster
Everyone is trying hard to make GTA V looks like in real life while I'm still trying to get smooth frame in low settings. Edit : Mine is actually still not that bad, I can get 60fps but it stutters so much till makes me dizzy. I need to cap frame to 24fps to make it smooth :(

I don't know if it's because the trailer itself or what, but for me we are arriving to a point where, at least for me, this isn't something that looks realistic, something similar to reality, this simply looks real. It isn't "it looks realistic", it looks real. For example just look at 0:41. It looks like if someone went on that roof, and recorded those few seconds. This is simply beautiful. But at the same time I wonder, what is going to come after this

Best $10 I ever spent. It runs great on a 3060Ti and I use Forest of San Andreas as well. The white "grain" in the distance is removed which makes huge difference from overall use. The mod is an all-in-one super easy mod to install in OpenIV, the effects are absolutely amazing! Highly, highly recommended!
Having read some of the comments about the editing, I was curious to see if it would really be that good that its the main topic in the comments instead of the graphics themselves. And this is one of those times where I genuinely can't think of a better word to use than simply.. Wow! The creativity with the editing, key framing the movements of the cars and environment so that they match up in the next scene, the way you visualize the differences in the lighting, textures etc by doing live transitions between the previous versions and the new ones, the added 3d text which looks gorgeous and is color corrected perfectly with the backgrounds, the way you transition from the enhanced smoke effects on the car and turning it into mist while going along the street and then quite literally entering into the overhauled gta world where you can see the rain effects, reflections and so on..I can go on forever about so many details that you put into this absolutely phenomenal trailer. The editor for this should be really proud, this is professional and outstanding work, and I honestly hope that you are able to work on the trailers for the next gta or to just be able to work on even bigger projects, because this is pure talent and creativity. The music fits the trailer perfectly as well, and of course, the mod itself looks incredible so of course huge props to everyone who worked on making the game look unrecognizable when compared to its initial launch. This is beautiful work and I can't congratulate you enough for this :)

No it’s not, period. Why would they release the remaster for GTA5 the same year GTA6 comes out? That’s just a stupid way to plan out release dates. Even if they weren’t coming out with the remaster most R* games have a very long build up and a trailer is released atleast 2 years before the actual game comes out. Besides they’re going to milk GTA 5 for a couple more years.

People who have never edited videos will not notice many subtle things in this video. For example at 0:25 the shot where the trailer is being tracked with the sun setting behind it, you can feel the VERY slight vibrations of the camera as it tracks the trailer just like it would be in real life (often happens with such shots in movies). But, this is not real life its taken from a game and that subtle camera wobble has been artificially created. The camera slow pan out in that shot was an added challenge. And don't get me started on the transition at 0:34- some very creative usage of a complex masking technique which gets easier to the eye because of keeping the camera behind the pillars in the previous shot (otherwise it would seem too jumpy, here it seems natural) & actually using a polygon mask instead of a simple rectangular mask. At 0:56 that smooth transition needs 2 shots to be setup and synced perfectly which takes a LOT of work. These things (and there are many, many more) must have taken days to create on any editing software. Please show this man some love, he is a legend and he's gonna get a LOT more work. Amazing mod and trailer.

Jadi a remaster for GTAV? I don’t think it’s too hopeful to expect one, because the minimum Last generation compatibility is confirmed for both consoles. Might even explain the free epic games give away - they’re gonna charge again for the remaster. Ok yes I know I’m making rockstar look meaner than they are but it’s not impossible, and it’s not even that unlikely. Definitely gonna be charged to buy the same game for the third time.
Edit: also important to note that RDR2 has advanced Ray tracing technology that somehow even works on a first generation PS4, so they can easily incorporate a lot of this videos features in their remaster

Edit : Mine is actually still not that bad, I can get 60fps but it stutters so much till makes me dizzy. I need to cap frame to 24fps to make it smooth :(

I don't know if it's because the trailer itself or what, but for me we are arriving to a point where, at least for me, this isn't something that looks realistic, something similar to reality, this simply looks real. It isn't "it looks realistic", it looks real. For example just look at 0:41. It looks like if someone went on that roof, and recorded those few seconds. This is simply beautiful. But at the same time I wonder, what is going to come after this

Best $10 I ever spent. It runs great on a 3060Ti and I use Forest of San Andreas as well.
The white "grain" in the distance is removed which makes huge difference from overall use. The mod is an all-in-one super easy mod to install in OpenIV, the effects are absolutely amazing!

Keep rewatching this because it gives me the feel when i was skipping school to download GTA 5 at launch day
Having read some of the comments about the editing, I was curious to see if it would really be that good that its the main topic in the comments instead of the graphics themselves. And this is one of those times where I genuinely can't think of a better word to use than simply.. Wow! The creativity with the editing, key framing the movements of the cars and environment so that they match up in the next scene, the way you visualize the differences in the lighting, textures etc by doing live transitions between the previous versions and the new ones, the added 3d text which looks gorgeous and is color corrected perfectly with the backgrounds, the way you transition from the enhanced smoke effects on the car and turning it into mist while going along the street and then quite literally entering into the overhauled gta world where you can see the rain effects, reflections and so on..I can go on forever about so many details that you put into this absolutely phenomenal trailer. The editor for this should be really proud, this is professional and outstanding work, and I honestly hope that you are able to work on the trailers for the next gta or to just be able to work on even bigger projects, because this is pure talent and creativity. The music fits the trailer perfectly as well, and of course, the mod itself looks incredible so of course huge props to everyone who worked on making the game look unrecognizable when compared to its initial launch. This is beautiful work and I can't congratulate you enough for this :)
