I caught the last half if this song while scrolling radio stations a year ago or, the lyric "we're goin to California but we're all out of work, I guess thats better than a grave and a hearse" made me stop scrolling. The song sadly ended without me knowing the name of the song or the name of the band. I wanted to do a lyric search to figure out the name of the song because I wanted to hear the whole song. So here my wife and I are in front of the hospital, she's in labor and really intent on having our baby and the 2 nurses are rushing and helping her into the wheel chair, she's making a scene screaming for me to come on, and all I wanted was maybe 5 minutes to find and listen to the entire song and not just for me, but for her and the 2 nurses because its such a fun, happy song that I thought she could use a happy song at that moment because she seemed a little on edge. Anyhow, she made me go with her and the nurses, I was a little ticked off because everybody knows that just because her water broke and she was in labor does not mean that our baby was just going to jump out of her womb and say I'm here, no he was more likely to pop out of the womb and say hey dad; play that song that we only got to hear part of? As it turned out our baby boy wasn't born for another 13 minutes which means I had plenty of time to find and listen to song, but because of her dramatic what about me sense of urgency, and then our baby coming, and let me tell you, that baby was very demanding right from the moment he got here it seemed. But with all the chaos that continues to this day I had forgotten about the song until 15 minutes ago when I heard it on the radio again driving home from picking up baby stuff, still not catching the entire song but getting enough to allow me to hop out of the car, run in the house, grab my tablet, find and listen to the whole song which is so good as well as learn the name of the band. It was worth the wait, and our baby boy (Avan) is pretty awesome to, and he completely shares my taste in music. He's crying right now, and I know that all he wants is to hear Sedona again.
