No, they'll do a "LE" ladder edition of the map that widens the ramp. Rightfully so, that is total bullshit. The wall-off cannon rush was intentionally nerfed by putting destructible debris at the base of the ramp near the end of wings of liberty because you could block zerg in the main with two pylons. Being able to do it with 1 is absurdly broken, especially now that shield batteries exist so you can make any unit proxied and heal it infinitely. That's such an unfair advantage.

Came here from Artosis's stream the next day when he talks about it. That first match is just tragic, that's not fair on Solar at all. I genuinely think he deserves a formal apology for being made to play on what's arguably a bugged map from the invisible walls around the pylon and being eliminated in part due to it. This kind of sloppiness isn't okay for what a lot of of consider the one of the best multiplayer games of all time. Both players are fantastic, Parting was just using the tools at his disposal, but that was more certainty more frustrating than entertaining to watch

I think it really is GSL's fault for not screening the maps properly.

Easiest way to deal with these sort of proxy cannon/battery rushes is to make it so buildings have a sort of shield overheat where they can only be re-shielded once or twice. Doing it this way instead of a fixed amount also allows protoss to still defend their nexus and larger buildings with shield batteries while not allowing for shield battery spam on buildings in an aggressive way.
Why doesn’t solar build baneling nest and spore crawlers in game 1? Ez win across the map and Defense at home. Ravagers…. Why? Doesn’t hit air, nor able to counter at the weak Protoss main. Too rigid.
