Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is an action-adventure single-player video game played from a third-person perspective. As with the first game and Miles Morales, Peter Parker and Miles Morales are the two main characters, with Mary Jane and Venom playable in certain missions, becoming individually playable in accordance with the story as they traverse an open world New York City and fight enemies. Players can acquire new abilities and collect various Spider-Man suits. Peter and Miles can be freely swapped between at any point during free-roam in the game's open world, and have dedicated missions both in the main story and as part of side content that takes advantage of their individual traits. The game expands upon the prior entries' open world, allowing players to explore Brooklyn and Queens in addition to Manhattan, which was the main setting of the previous two games.
Building on the combat system of the previous titles, both Spider-Men are able to parry physical attacks, as certain enemy types are impervious to dodging. During traversal, both Peter and Miles' new suits come equipped with Web Wings, which, when deployed, allow them to glide across the city, with their speed and distance covered increasing when taking advantage of areas such as wind tunnels. Each Spider-Man's gadget wheel has been upgraded with additional equippable mods for their web-shooters, such as being able to cast a Web Line across pillars for additional footing during stealth sequences suspended above enemies, and the Web Grabber, allowing multiple enemies to be pulled into an isolated spot for Stealth Takedowns, which can be performed on two enemies at once. In addition to Peter Parker's standard gameplay, he is playable when bonded to the Venom symbiote, granting him tendrils that he uses during combat, and unique web-based abilities. Both Spider-Men have individual Skill Trees with additional unlockable abilities for both of them once they accumulate enough Skill Points in accordance with their experience level, as well as a third Skill Tree dedicated to shared abilities between them. - Ігри

My two favorite lines from this battle were "You think I'm the problem" and "Im the solution" just the way his voice goes from Peter to Venom in those parts is amazing

This fight was hard but I'm glad it was hard because fighting Black Suit Spider-Man should feel hard. And I love this part of the game.

I LOVED Miles in this game. His arc was fantastic. Nadji Jeter did a wonderful job!!

I’ve seen a lot of people say that Miles only won cause of plot but here’s a few reasons why I think he won. 1. Peter wasn’t himself and didn’t have control which hindered his thinking and 2. Miles wasn’t fighting Peter to win, he was fighting him to save him.
Number 2 is pretty much plot reasoning, a better reason was that 2. Miles was getting through to Peter throughout the fight, and 3. He had stronger powers tham normal that helped him out in the fight.
i agree.. miles is not "weaker" than symbiote... maybe yes a little.. but the point is, miles developing as well and yur points apply here... so yes... miles win
Miles “won” because the person who controls Peter is the same as the person who controls miles
Miles also watch peter fight Kraven so he could analyze his movements and was able to used the bell to his advantage

Peter is trying so hard to control himself but he can't.
I liked what helped miles more was Peter conflict with himself (at least in the second and third stage). You could tell he didn’t believe what he was saying

No one else finds "im finally everything everyone needs me to be" a really depressing? Regardless if its spiderman or not. That shit just hurts when you get to that point
This fight was both awesome AND heartbreaking, never did I think that one day in a video game, I’d have to FIGHT one of my heroes in a fight that would BREAK me BUT DANMIT ALL, it made me more proud of Miles, he never gave up on Peter ONCE, exactly how Spider-Man is: one who doesn’t give up, even when the odds are against him.
And I liked how this fight showed the best and worst of Spider-Man, with Miles being the best parts of Spider-Man and Symbiote Peter being the worst and tragic part of Spider-Man

That part fucked me up
The culmination of their arc together. Peter thought he wasn’t enough, he lost his edge, kept losing and getting hurt against sandman while Miles thrived. With the suit, he felt strong, he could be everything, yet didn’t realize he was driving everyone away. Miles had to see his hero at his worst and break him free. He had to take a stand and represent the good in Peter, as Spider-Man represents the good in the city.
This fight was awesome my heart was pounding and I was holding my breath for so long

When he would throw the symbiote bomb and you catch and throw and he threw it back. Flabbergasted. Felt like Snape: “You dare you use my spells against me, potter!”

There are two references from anime in here, one not that accurate (Kefla vs Goku) and one too accurate (Bakugo vs Deku).

@@Bluesit32miles was pretty disconnected for most of pete’s story since anytime harry was involved pete would just abandon him. i don’t even remember if he found out why pete ended up with the symbiote in the first place
If you played the game you would know that Peter does not give a care about what happens to Harry. He understands that Norman is already finding a cure for him anyways so I highly doubt a corrupted Peter would care.
Wish we had opinion to fight Symbiote like in Spectacular Spider Man show or reunite with him and Harry could have become Anti Venom instead

I love this fight. It was probably the best part of the game imo. But at the same time, miles *shouldnt* have won against symbiote peter. Especially considering this version of the symbiote isnt weak to heat or fire that would be made from his electricity powers
I mean, he didn't necessarily win, they were pretty much going back and forth until Peter removed the suit, he and the suit were pretty much fighting for control the whole fight, and Miles' powered up abilities would still harm the symbiote even if it's not necessarily weak to it.
Miles didn't necessarily win against Peter he wanted to help free Peter from the Symbiote so he fought hard to tire out Peter than he used the bell to disrupt the symbiote and it allowed Peter to break free of the symbiote.
Technically speaking, he didn't even win. The whole time they were going back and forth so that miles has enough time to get the suit off of peter. Sometimes, you just need a little bit of time and to figure out a plan

Symbiote peter can see miles while he is being invisible because he steps in parts of the symbiote and also the symbiotes have thermal vision
The bell in the battle is the same as the church one
Venom's spider evolves by the pass of the time, first as an inspiration, later as an upgrade, later an corrupted spider and then a spider with spikes
I have no idea how peter's voice actor didn't breaked his voice while doing the symbiote peter's voice lines
Watching Miles dog Symbiote Spider-Man in some of the cut-scenes is so raw lmao

With the suit being an Alogory for Performance Enhancement drugs like Steroids
Even the fact it was being used to treat Harry for his Degenerative illness, Yup the Alien Symbiote is a Drug reference

Is a dark Alogory about how some drugs are meant to heal but not all of them are particularly "healing" a person
