Tip for lower BRs: Get up close and personal from the side, turn off your engine/s so that enemies can't hear you. Fire a salvo but aim slightly to the right or left. You want to be as low to ground as possible, but aim on the lowest point of the rocket reticle. Oh and, make sure you're using an armor piercing rocket. (Works extremely well against blind german mains)
Trash for lower brs. There, the rockets need to be adjusted, you can even see in video that author didn't get a single direct hit. The lines aren't just for distance they are also a huge help with adjustment, case and point: il2 and pe3, both have same missiles but il2's are closer to cabin, so to adjust you use the second line, meanwhile on pe3, the rockets are further from cab, so you use third line to adjust for rocket distance, helps a lot to get direct hits. Also the distance is easily understood for adjustment via the gun adjustment from the wings. In other words, set gun adjustment to 600 meters, shoot gun till you get a hit, adjust the distance from cabin to rocket, second line of distance, fire, fly away after a hit. To know on which side to adjust, you just need to know which salvo goes first (test flights). Wolah: best tip for direct hits with unguided missiles.
Perhaps you could use the lines to estimate where your rocket might land based on the pylons position... but calling it the "best tip" a strategy that requires you to get in the face on the enemy to be accurate? Sorry but no, I wouldn't advice anyone to follow that tip, specially if rockets aren't accurate by nature even with CCIP.
Rocket tip: If you don't have 100 of them don't select over dumb pickles
