biggest thing i can recommend is to pick at max 2 characters to stick to while trying to climb, counter swapping to win only works so often and you don't learn much of anything from it, the most valuable games are the ones that you'll lose, you'll learn ways around your counters making you better much faster, every single person i know who's hit gm and ended top 500 is either a 1-2 trick or started off a 1-2 trick. also, don't worry about aim that comes with time, worry about your positioning and timing for engagements as aim will take you to at max diamond, game sense is what gets you to top500. don't rage queue if you go on a loss streak, take a break and come back after you've given some thought as to why you lost. Don't fall into the trap of blaming teammates, honestly just leave voice chat and turn off match chat so that you are focused solely on improving. when learning the 1-2 characters watch either awkward or A10's guides to the characters, they explain in such a way that som1 brand new to the game would understand while other videos will incorporate concepts that don't truly apply and matter until very high up in rank.
When I started playing OW I was a gold lucio player, but if you have the time and patience you can achieve anything. After too long, I eventually got both GM1 on Support and DPS.
pick a hero (prob soldier for your case) and watch some spilo vods for silver/gold. Take notes, and choose 1 thing to focus on for a week. Every week focus on something new. Once you think you are good at everything you took notes on,watch higher rank vods and take new notes and compare to your current gameplay. There you go, this game is easy to rank up in lol
Depending on how serious you really are, how much time you have and how new you are to Mnk, aimtraining could really pay off and smooth out any inconsistencies I've noticed! Lmk if you want any pointers
I haven't used mnk to play FPS games in about 4 years so my mechanics are definitely rusty. Any advice would be appreciated. I need all the help I can get lol
@@skeerr6571 As someone who's reached GM 3x in league of legends (top 0.051%), it really is all about just having the right mindset, when you focus only on your play and you're mistakes and you COMPLETELY stop caring about wether or not your teammates are performing you climb incredibly quickly. Also reached masters 5 in overwatch OTP tracer after just ~2 months of playing, hopefully climbing to t500 after winter break, it really is all about mindset.
Oh we're reading replies? Uhh... advice! Turn off vsync (in video settings) if your pc can consistently hit 200+fps. If you get screen tear you can turn it back on. Gameplay -> Miscellaneous -> Enable High Precision Mouse Input turn this on, basically makes your mouse move more true to your irl inputs. Controls -> Hero & Hud -> Recoil Recovery Aim Compensation turn this off, this can have a slight impact on microadjustments when aiming. None of these are game changing but they all help. GL on the journey to T500!
Thanks for the tips. My pc is like 8 years old now so I can only just manage 144 fps on all low settings. For Christmas I'm gonna get a few upgrades with money I've saved up so that should help.

This series sounds good imma keep up with it cant wait to see the first t500 video
If you need any pointers lmk I’m also on the road to top 500 🎉
Honestly very good content i really prefer the slow analysis of a specific game instead of most ow creators just putting separate clips in a video
awesome intro
for the audio, if you record the audio on a seperate track than the game audio you can use tools like adobe podcast to clean it up.
I almost reached diamond but got unlucky enough to get leavers in my games 💔💔 and ppl will still say it is my fault for not solo-carrying,,

when i say focus i mean throw your games by only playing for the focus you have in mind.
Spilo is definitely a great resource. Ive already climbed a little since watching him
cool video, do you want to do some 1v1s
I know you said you were aiming bad, but that aim was 😫👌

@FIN17_ow looks like my comment didn't go through? We could use discord maybe
@@FIN17_ow This is my third attempt at commenting lmao - do you use dc? Would make things easier
@@FIN17_ow Why are my comments not going through.. 😭
@@FIN17_ow in a similar boat and I'd recommend iostux's aimtrainer code jpyhg really helped me out
Yo dawg, if you want a duo I am plat all roles and I am down to go for top500 :))

@@atlas_carry thats true.. its all about mindset, but it is not easy. You need to put a lot of work to become top 1% in anything
