- Former CM of Nagaland Dr SC Jamir believes "a very strange phenomenon in the political dialogue" has created a fear psychosis in the minds of Nagas.
In an exclusive interview with EastMojo, the veteran politician said, "I think that a fear psychosis has been spread in the minds of Naga people, and now people are afraid to speak out". This demonic force, he said, should be removed, and people should have a chance to say what they want.
The Government of India has been holding separate talks with the NSCN(IM) since 1997, and the Naga National Political Groups (NNPGs) since 2017. On August 3, 2015, it signed a framework agreement with NSCN(IM), and an Agreed Position with NNPG on November 17, 2017.

As a Naga we all know our history and we want to support our nationalists but after learning about the details of Pan-Naga Hoho proposed under Framework agreement, we are convinced that it's better to live within a democratic Indian union than a communist regime of IM.
History should not be repeated deliberately.. what happened as a tragedy is enough.

The PAN Naga Hoho, as we have recently seen (the viral post) is not the actual demand from Naga people, that's an art work of some Indian bureaucrats to bring misunderstanding among the Nagas.
Don't believe in whatever you have seen on social networking sites, just think, who on earth is going to bring what was written on that viral copy, and who is going to support such???
Be patient enough to know the truth, actual truth.
Some of the Nagas along with Indian bureaucrats are trying to mislead the Nagas so that there would be bloodshed among the Naga brethren again and again.

The main thing regarding the solution is how can a particular faction say they are fighting for us or representing us when the general public dont even know what they are demanding? They shouldnt use the name 'Nagaland' next time they go for negotiation because they dont represent the whole Nagas except for their own political faction. Kindly ask Shri SC Jamir, whether he is talking in favour of India or Naga?
If he is talking in India's favour then tell him to express clearly that Nagas will never get independent as long as he (Shri. SC Jamir himself) live.

If the negotiations are in nagas interests, then we should not unnecessarily interfere but rather support the talks. Listening and entertaining every voice will lead to indecision and confusion among the nagas. Our number one priority has always been 'the right to self determination'. This goal should be accorded the required importance while determining our future course of action. Everyone knows Jamir has been a puppet and tool of the Indian Govt. He has been given lucrative positions under the GOI. He has no concern for naga's right of self determination.

Mr. Jamir should know that NSCN IM is not fighting only for Nagaland but for the whole Nagas from MANIPUR, Assam, Arunachal, Myanmar Nagas as well. For the whole Nagas rights, why talking about only Nagaland Nagas. NSCN IM are broadminded unlike NNPGs talking only for Nagaland. Mr. Jamir never fight for Nagas, he is always served and work under government of India till his retirement. And after retirement also still talking for government of India. Mr. Jamir as a chief minister for long-term in Nagaland state and as a governor in other states, because of his leadership one of the region why Nagas are still struggling.

Dr.SC.Jamir, just as any Naga citizen has every right to share his opinions on the Naga issue but he has his share in what has become of Nagaland today and yes he speaks the truth but in his situation its like ‘ once bitten twice shy ' and a politician will always be a politician. On the other hand, He is right to say that other than a democratic setup we cannot accept any other form of government in Nagaland and Pan Naga Hoho is not feasible. Any other day a new Naga political group emerges but just to burden the Nagas and we have had enough feeding and clothing stubborn Naga leaders who are reluctant to forgive and forget and unite. No leader or NPGs are genuine or has the mandate of the Nagas until and unless they are brave enough to sit together and resolve their differences. The younger generation have lost faith with the so called freedom fighters threatening, harassing the Nagas in every way possible even meddling in family and private affairs. You build your palaces while we the less fortunate Nagas pay the price. If this is what will continue then better live as Indians peacefully.

Both the brothers lived a self sufficient life enough to fill their bellies and their basic necessities of life.
One day a stronger superior foreigner came before them and overpowered them both, but offered them two choices to either come under him become his subjects and enjoy all the privileges or to rather perish or be eradicated and their land along with all their properties given to his loyal subjects already under him, for the foreigner only cared to expand his territory for the benefit of his own nation, he even gave away a portion of the land along with the families of the two brothers to the neighbouring nation as a sign of treaty.
One brother chose to resist against the greater foreigner(why?) While the other chose to become a loyal subject to the foreigner(why?)
Now back to reality.

*Fact: My tribe which is amongst the larger Naga tribes(counting about 2.5-3 lakhs now) numbered in few thousands during the mid 1900s(note population expansion charts of India and reasons). And similar case of Sikkim( ua-cam.com/video/srb5r8ICPXc/v-deo.html ) could have taken like i mentioned in the story above (the second offer)

I don't and can't blame either parties anyway be it the extremist or the moderate as history would describe (oh i mean Indian history).

Why Phizo gave up or rather couldn't help anymore? I'm sure he had given his all (even in his exile). I'm sure y'all remember his words : "Nagas will never surrender in the Battle field, but many Nagas will fall when Money is shot through the barrel of the Gun".
Who went against it, the 16 point agreement and continued the movement, for a worthier settlement?
Wasn't it the NSCN or specifically Isak, Muivah, and khaplang(and the current newer factions and it's leaders under them).
By this i don't mean that the descision lies in them alone but collectively all as one, the NNPG's and all other leaders representing each tribe.
Whatever may come i pray and hope that the our leaders may make an honest descision, for this descision is not before mere men but before God because we have already dedicated this nation(Nagaland) to God.
I am of the recent z generation born and brought up in India and I don't hate being apart of India. But it does hurt a lot when I look back into history, all the atrocities done by India towards my people, robbed us of democracy while itself being a democratic one.
I don't know about having a seperate country anymore because we are not the only one with such a desire(granting us independence would create problems for India's internal affairs too now) rather we've survived and stood strong against a lesser settlement unlike the rest-therefore the longest insurgency. But having a seperate unique identity alongside sovereignty under India be great. The umbrella could be a virtual one though ( haha you know what I mean)
Be it whatever the outcome let us be the powerhouse of Christ to this nation and God willing beyond. In fact being apart of India makes that more convenient 😂

Atrocities at that point of time was too heavy for the Nagas so Nagas were Compelled to go for statehood, if that is true better not to Condemn that decision
