The Pasquiers could still be Pasquiers for some reason and apprentices sometimes switched to their masters' names even when they had nothing to do with the occupation, so Pasquier is still possible. However, if you want to assume that Noah's name changed because of what other local people were calling him, then you might consider one of the more literal English surnames like Tavenner, Ostler, or Inman.
As I’m also playing an Ultimate Decades Challenges myself (I’m in 1326), my main household (the 2nd generation) also has problems with having children because the children either failed their birth roll or their infancy roll.. The couple had around 4 children so far and 3 of them died (so far). While one of my side households had 4 pregnancy tries and they got twins TWICE and all children (except for their oldest) survived to infancy at least. It feels like side households are luckier than the main household, when it comes to this, but at least Fatima got pregnant in this episode! Hopefully she and the baby will both survive

It's a difficult balance to strike, we don't want too many sims to manage but at the same time we need to ensure the bloodline survives 😵💫 I def ended up with too many kids in my main line 😅😅 but with the same number of pregnancies the Bakers ended up with just 4 kids surviving, so it's hard to plan!
