Alaina made some cheesy ice cream cone pottery piece for $25 - Really?!!?? UGH!!!! My sister is an artist/ art teacher... and every piece - she's like "I can get that for $2, and that I got for $2!" Don't ever apologize for making a craft with a totally finished look. When I learned floral designing, my teacher told us that you should never be able to see the mechanics of what you are designing. That is the difference between home made and hand made!
Yes, and I feel Walmart has really been stepping it up. Plus don't forget to keep a lookout when Joann's has deals for like 75% off of greenery/ floral... you get such awesome deals. And I like buying garlands- I think you get more bang for your buck. Thanks for watchng, Sherri.

Ok well call me crazy too, cuz I love that you put the burlap on the bottom, it makes it look finished. Both are beautiful but my favorite is the pine tree on the canvas very unique. 😊

Love the tree and the tip using the ribbon spool as a riser for the tray is an awesome idea! I've never seen that Mod Podge spray before, I'll have to check that out! Thanks so much for sharing your creativity!
I love the MOD PODGE spray... I have it in both matte and glossy. It's great for just sealing a project- quick and easy. But a warning, it has a super strong smell. So make sure your area is well ventilated or you have a fan running. Take care!

I really love these projects! I haven't seen 11x14 canvases yet! I love that size. What a great tip for the dog nail clippers! I use large nail clippers to keep my candle wicks trimmed.

Using dog nail clippers will also keep the dogs away. If I pull those buggers out the dogs disappear. Unfortunately since the dogs are gone the cat shows up. The canvas sign is really nice. This is my favorite. Love the candle holder. We had snow last night, but according to the Amazon Echo no snow is predicted. Meteorology is a very precise science. Just ask them.

I love these! They look so fun to make, and I have everything I need to do both. I’m definitely going to make them! I needed something to do today, and I have OMG tons and tons of greenery, picks, garlands, ornaments, Ribbon GALORE! My husband is so gonna kill me! Once I hace my dad the iPad on Thanksgiving, until my daughter fixed the new one so I could comment, I’ve been stuck and have made only a couple of items out of all the crafting Christmas items I have purchased! I’m going to have to store all of it, or go ahead and make as much as I can out of it, store that, and sell it next year. Idk, either way, I’m going to be storing lots of stuff. Yes, dog clippers work great- especially for cutting dowels b/c of the shape. And I find crafting very calming, as well. It brings me so much joy to create. And when I see that finished product... I get so excited. That's why I love UA-cam, it let's me connect with others who have the passion to craft. Take care, friend.

Great job Kat! I like them all. In the past, I made a similar piece using a greenery pick that kinda looks like a tree, and glued it on a piece of (flat) kindling. Then painted snow in the background. Yours reminded me of that 😁. Love it! 👍🏻☺️

It drives me crazy when I can't remember words. You should see me when I'm teaching... I can remember all the hard text terms but I seem to forget words like "You know, that thing... that goes like this?" My students are like, "a stapler?" Umm yes, a stapler. Tree sign is beautiful. Greenery is only a better deal if you use all of it by crafting a lot. Can always sub it with pine picks

Yes, dog clippers work great- especially for cutting dowels b/c of the shape. And I find crafting very calming, as well. It brings me so much joy to create. And when I see that finished product... I get so excited. That's why I love UA-cam, it let's me connect with others who have the passion to craft.

Great job Kat! I like them all. In the past, I made a similar piece using a greenery pick that kinda looks like a tree, and glued it on a piece of (flat) kindling. Then painted snow in the background. Yours reminded me of that 😁. Love it! 👍🏻☺️

Beautiful DIYs, I love them both they look very high end. I also have an issue with remembering words when trying to explain things lol and I Have to finish my whole project it drives me crazy if it’s “incomplete” but IMO that’s part of the high end look.TFS 😊
It drives me crazy when I can't remember words. You should see me when I'm teaching... I can remember all the hard text terms but I seem to forget words like "You know, that thing... that goes like this?" My students are like, "a stapler?" Umm yes, a stapler. LOL
