2023 Fox Hunt Benefiting Le Bonheur Children's Hospital

Last November, I was asked to film the 2023 8th Annual Fox Hunt Benefiting Le Bonheur Children's Hospital. I was humbled but nervous to be trusted with the task and responsibility that comes along with making a video about such an important event. So this past weekend Shane Recer and myself drove down to Mississippi and hit record on a dog show, auction and 510 fox hunting hounds!! They raised $127,000 for the kids at Le Bonheur. A person must do his hunting for the purpose of providing his living. Obtaining one's livelihood by hunting wild animals is one of the legitimate ways of earning in Islam. But other ways of earning are more virtuous than this. Telehhi, that is, hunting for pleasure and entertainment, just as a sport, is not welcomed in Islam. Because hunting with this intention gives gloom and heedlessness to the heart, and reduces the feelings of compassion and pity towards animals.
