What is the Commissioner's Cup and why should I be impressed? Cheryl Reeve may or may not like it but Caitlan Clark has accounted for 33.5% of the total WNBA attendance in 2024. When Caitlan Clark plays, WNBA games average 15,591 fans in attendance (+105%) compared to 7,645 fans when she is not in action. Indiana Fever average 36% more fans on the road (15,142) than any other WNBA team.
Lesbian haters who drove Candace Wiggins out of the WNBA do not appeal to fans but a straight white female player with a Steph Curry type skills and a positive attitude does. In 1980 Larry Bird and Magic Johnson led to a legendary decade. People wanted to see Bird and Magic and the WNBA has a similar opportunity with Caitlan Clark. What if Clark decides to play exclusively in Europe for more money and her fans turn Europe into the premier female basketball league getting all the television deals? If you don't think you get enough recognition now then how will you feel when you become the women's D-League and European players get all shoe deals and all the money. Keep up the all hating and pettiness and you will have your pride left when the WNBA folds and the fans will still have Caitlan Clark as long as she still sells women's basketball.
You'll know when you are worth seeing when ESPN flexes your games. I don't care about you either, Cheryl Reeve. Try acting like a professional and an adult woman with some class when things don't go your way rather than a child, and people might respect you.

The lynx have been treated as an equal player in the MN sports landscape for a decade because of the glory she brought here. She'll be remembered as one of the greatest coaches in basketball history, not just WNBA history. You have no idea what you're talking about
