Part 2: Ocoee #3 power plant, Thunder Rock campground and arrival at Blue Hole Ocoee

This is Part 2 of the 'scenic route' from Cleveland TN up to the Ocoee Whitewater Center and Blue Hole, taken on behalf of my friends from Atlanta who haven't ventured past Blue Hole on US64 past the Ocoee River Gorge. This one shows TVA's Ocoee #3 Power Plant, Thunder Rock Campground right beside it, and then the final mile up to the Ocoee Whitewater Center. Blue Hole Ocoee, the swimming hole where I go often, is upriver from the Whitewater Center itself.

The Blue Hole Ocoee swimming hole is located in the Ocoee River in the Cherokee National Forest, closest to Ducktown, Tennessee, USA.

stayed there 2 times. I think its the nicest campground in the Ocoee/Cherokee area.

It's definitely the one I would choose if I wanted to camp.
I think you HAVE to reserve spots there in advance now, judging from the Cherokee National Forest site.
