IPHONE 4/5/6/6s: How to Fix Camera Freezing Problems| Five Options!!!!!!!!!!!!!

- I give you five possible options to fix your camera on your iPhone which may be freezing, frozen, black, stuck, blurry, etc
1- Hard reset (hold down power & home button simultaneously)
2- turn phone over and press firmly around the lens. Its possible that one of the camera connectors was dislodged.
3- settings-privacy-camera- troubleshoot and figure out what app is causing issues by disabling. You may want to disable all of them first then try your camera and if your camera works then its one your apps that is causing the problem.
4- settings-general-reset-"Reset All Settings". This will not delete data but will reset you settings like background, pass code, etc.
5- press and hold camera app down until you are in wiggle mode then continue to hold down and then press and hold power button until shut off slider appears. Then shut off then restart.

The front camera only worked for a few seconds before the image used to freeze (iPhone 6 128gb) and I'm happy to say that applying pressure below the rear-camera ( as described at 1:05 ) solved it for me! Thanks a bunch!
for all of you that this isn't working for, try what I did to make it finally work. I went to my settings and clicked on general, then click on "Date & Time". Set your iphone back to a date where the camera worked. I set mine to april 21st. Then press the home and power button at the same time and you'll get a blue screen (Its restarting) after that your camera SHOULD work. It worked for mine and so far there are no negative repercussions from this on my phone.

Thanks so much!!! I am a senior and my camera was frozen... I love that I didn't have to call my son or grandsons to help me, or to have to go to the place I got my iPhone 5!!! I was able to follow your 1st directions and it resolved my frozen camera issue right away!!!! Wonderful!!!

Thanks very much for your brilliant idea. I was able to resolved my iphone 6 plus' camera issue. My rear camera or flash couldn't work. But when i applied the method of holding the power button and the home key all at once, the problem was resolved at my first trial.

I don't know exactly which one of your tips got my camera working again but I think it was pressing on the back of the camera lens, then changing all of the apps that used my camera, followed by a hard reset. When I turned it back on it worked!!! I searched all over the net for help and nothing worked. I have an IPhone 5 that in which the camera would only work in selfie mode. My camera was stuck on a black screen and wouldn’t flip sides, or it would be stuck on one image from first opening the camera, then it would get blurry, then clear again but still frozen, it would work every now and then when I opened it but most of the time it wouldn’t, I held down on the camera icon and shut my phone down and now it works! Thank you!

the disable app settings worked for me, messenger and waze were the culprits, thanks a bunch! Good thing I did not have to do a full reset!

I have iPhone 6s.Camera was stuck on a black screen.I tried the shutting it off and waiting an turning back on.I then tried the pressing the camera.I then tried the shutting it off and waiting for the Apple icon appeared.It works fine now.

This video is so helpful! I currently have an iPhone XR and I am very clumsy, resulting it my phone taking many falls. I noticed my camera was freezing and was very delayed and even going black. So I try the first hack at 1:11…and it WORKS! I shut down my phone, took off the case and pressed the back camera, then the front camera. Finally I squeezed the phone on both sizes and turned my phone back on. Im really happy!

The Battery hack worked for me. It took me 1h30 to get it to work.
I tried inside for a long time, then I went outside and it was sunny, and suddenly it started working.
Try to see if the Flashlight is working beforehand.

Hi. I just want to thank you very much it worked!! I did the first 2 options and it didn't work and then i did the 3rd option and that worked. I am not sure if it was a combination of all 3 that made it work or just the 3rd option but its wort to do all 3. Thanks thanks!! Not sure which of my app was the problem because i now turned all of them back on again and the camera is still work. Probably one of the apps triggered it but now got fix. Thanks again.

Option #3 worked for me! I had front camera frozen in my iPhone 5c with iOS 9.2 . Lets see if it keeps working in the following days. Thanks!

I tried everything no luck, ExCEPT for the last solution, where you hold the camera app and turn off your phone. My flash and camera works perfectly now! Thanks dude!
Thanks a ton for your wonderful video. For me, turning off the camera permissions to third-party apps did the trick. Now my rear-camera and LED works wonderfully well.
thank you so much, my iphone 5s rear facing camera and the flashlight wasn't working after it fell on the ground facing the screen, since then i have been trying to repair. this morning when i pressed it firmly at the camera, the flash light worked.
now after i tried ur method of pressing it firmly over the camera, it works now.

Thanks! my 5s rear camera is always lagged and sometime purple line appears. Solved by using the applying pressure on the camera lens itself a few times.
