I love it when they talk about the songs and get a story behind it, the song makes a lot more sense after that!
Hehe, I was so stoked when I got my bundle, I pre-ordered it aswell. There's nothing better than putting the record into your stereo, sit back and listen to your favorite band's new material :D

this made me cry... it's very heart-wrenching to see tegan sad and the way she sings the song is heart-breaking, too. glad she got the girl in the end.
Yes, it's surely very touching. This song really makes an impact on you when you hear it live. It's so intense and Tegan always look so sad.. You just want to give her a hug!
Their music is just incredible and I love hearing them explain the meaning of the song like you would of never imagined

Hehe you're welcome! There's more coming, so this is just the first concert! I wasn't at the awkward concert, it was the one before the first I attended. It was in The Hague (I think it's called?), which is in Netherlands, and apparently they were really quiet since they wanted to hear what Tegan and Sara were saying, hehe.
Yup, there sure is coming more! It's taking a while to upload the videos and some uploads fails once in a while so I have to re-upload. Yay for UA-cam! Haha, yeah, some concerts can be so awkward, but they make good banters!
There's more coming? Brilliant!! Can't wait to see them. That sounds awakward. I think anything could be more awkward than this concert they played in Rifflandia, Victoria, BC on the 9/25/09. You've prob seen it. It's the definition of awkward!
Do so! They did say in an interview that they wanted to visit Ireland and there's a possible Europe tour coming next summer, but nothing official yet, sadly. They seem to like Sweden, they keep coming back, and the Stockholm concert were one of their favorites this time in Europe.
I just hope that whenever they come, it won't be during my trip to Prague in August, haha.
It sure is! Lucky you, I had to wait.. I have to find a frame for my inkblot as well, and for the pictures I took of Tegan and Sara, going to print out some and put them up on the wall in my small apartment, hehe.
Yes, I've been to quite a few, but I only recorded the 3 I visited this year, sadly.

So do I! They plan on coming back to Europe next summer, so I hope I will have the time and money to go see them (if they're not coming to Sweden, that is).
I think Soil Soil is one of Tegan's best songs, it's so well written and intense.. so I was happy they chose to play it during the concerts I attended. I was a bit disappointed that there were no ballad-type songs on Sainthood, but the album is great nonetheless.

Three concerts! You're so lucky! Yeah most of the recent banters have been Tegan's banters. Except of course for the legendary "Sara's first girlfriend"....
I love how Snowball went from being a hamster to a gerbal, and from a boy to a girl in the span of this story.
That's why I decided to record during the concerts, to give something to the fans that can't go to see them. It's a shame they don't have plans to come to Asia yet.. I hope they will someday for your sake!

Yeah, it was 3 nights of pure love! There's a long banter with Sara about Canada, Candygrams and dating from the same concert as this one. Feel free to check it out in my videos, unless you already have seen it :)

I better subscribe! Banters are the best parts! I've never been to a concert though. They seem to be avoiding Ireland, prob because it's too expensive and the crowd are very rowdy! The crowds in Sweden and Western Europe seem to be very polite though.
Great. Now everytime I listen to soil2, I'll be thinking of a dead rodent and a missing letter. Just like how I still have random outbursts of laughter during alligator because of the kids version. Hopping reptile.
Also, sara's brain is still weird.

this has to be one of my favorite songs of all time and apparently hers too but it always brings her such sadness that it breaks my heart into tiny pieces!!!!

Yeah, I agree. It's a shame she doesn't talk much anymore. At the three concerts I attended Tegan did most of the talking, well it felt like it anyway.

alright, so sainthood is magic and i love the progression they constantly make, its wonderful and yeahh yeah etc. we obviously listen because we like them.
but i enjoy their records when they're suffering. hah...not that i want them to suffer but lyrically and emotionally- its there for me. this song is a beautiful example. sorry sainthood, i love ya but the con is irreplacable. :) ha
