I've been looking through the past papers, and there seems to be a trend. With the exception of just one year, there are 3 questions in section A.
Two of them are based on the required practicals (sometimes tenuously and sometimes directly).
The third question (not always q3!) tends to be based on a completely unfamiliar practical.
All 12 have been assessed, with required practicals 3, 8 and 12 having been assessed twice, and required practical 9 having been assessed 3 times (including the specimen paper).
I'd be very surprised if required practical 9 came up a 4th time, and likewise I'd be surprised if required practical 11 (the hardest one, which came up for the first time just last year) comes up again.
With this in mind, I'm predicting that the 2 questions based on required practicals this year will be based on required practicals 2 (interference effects) and 10 (top pan balance), both of which haven't been assessed since 2018 or earlier.
What are your thoughts on this Lewis?
Replying here so I can come back to this
There was no simple harmonic potion in p1, so I reckon a practical on that is coming.
@@steamstrategy7670 I think that's a good shout, it's also only come up once, in 2020. I'd say:
Likely: 2, 10, 7, 5
In the middle: 6, 1, 4
Less likely: 11, 12, 9, 8, 3
Cheers brother , u have saved me a lot of time
What's your exam board?
Guys it's AQA hope for the worst
Final blow to finish it off🤣
@@avish4671 that’s what she said
Hope for the best, prepare for the worst😭
"to cook or not to be cooked." -issac newton probably
but wouldn't that be the same thing? lol
@@lilselsna its not icl. If you cook that means you smash the exam, whereas if you are “not to be cooked” it doesn’t necessitate that you smashed the paper, rather that is only 1 possible outcome. The remaining possibility is if you didn’t smash the exam but you also didn’t flop the exam, so like an average performance.
Lol
@@mohamed-ridariani1935 hmm I kinda understand the dilemma but wouldn’t it make sense if it was to cook or not to cook?
@@lilsels now that u mentioned it, I didnt realise it meant same thing but I guess mohammeds interpretation would be it.
@@MineHarderYTPS either way its a great philosophy
Aqa clearly doesn't want me to go to uni bro :(
. Just hoping astrophysics carry me . The practical section is so stupid, like we haven't done a single practical properly. They should just make it the optional topic the entire paper
I remember last year the optional topic section carried literally everyone. First half of the paper was disgusting.
it’s become a joke
@@sarthakshah4621 Always is with AQA. Still somehow blagged my way into uni though, even after the sh*t-show physics exams.
agreed, i do medical physics and the questions are wonderful
good luck all with paper 3, hopefully aqa won't hit us too badly
im finished. I probably picked up about 10 mark max last paper
that’s safe , grammar school kids getting 15
Here after physics paper 3. Aqa actually made such a blessed paper for once, I honestly thought I was tripping 😂
Assume the worst, we are so cooked...
Okay hear me out… HOW CAN IT GET MUCH HARDER THAN PAPER 2? 😭😭😭
coming back to this lol
If it’s much harder than paper 2 I’m going to be fighting for single digit marks
I said this about 2023 paper 2 and uh, well, here we are 💀
Thanks Lewis. Lifesaver with all these videos/live streams. Thank you!!!
I’ll still tune in to your videos when I’m in uni
Well physics has cooked me so im done
Einstein would've got cooked on that paper 2 no way paper 3 can be harder
'' there's nothing we can do ''
paper 2 was hard last year and they made it even harder this year i don't think they learn
One thing my teacher told me which I’m gonna use 100% is to do the optional section first but flick through the practical section first to see what you’re getting yourself into
Great advice
Best of luck to you all folks - you’ve got this.
Thanks for your reassurance :)
hey, i was just wondering if you recommend doing section A or B first? i’ve done all the past papers and have found myself smashing section B (which for me is turning points), but doing a lot worse in section A.
i feel like maybe doing section B first will give me a confidence boost for section A, but at the same time i’ve been doing section A first in all the practice papers i’ve done, and it might be a bit of a risk doing something completely different in the actual exam (especially as i’ve literally ran out of past papers to test this strategy with).
I’d do Section B first if that is what has given you more confidence. As long as you keep a strict eye on the time.
Speaking of paper 2, what happened to the edexcel paper 2 revision streams???? I can’t find them anymore? They were super useful for understanding the content from those topics
Just made them public - you should be able to find them now on my main channel page under the live section
@@PhysicsOnline thank you!! They were really helpful with getting a grasp on some of those topics!
Law of trichotomy
Practical section is hopefully what'll carry me. I usually approach every question as if it's brand new anyway whereas I think most people have a sort of memory bank of ideas.
But this helps me in paper 3 because basically every question is brand new anyway so I'm almost used to it.
we shall all gather here after the exam, so scared 😫
Lil Ayesha what are u doing here ? ahahah
anyone ocr b?
its all been paper 3 so far
turning points is gonna kill me 😕
How r u revising turning points
@@user-ev2wy8hc1oI think it’s an optional module
@@user-ev2wy8hc1oget the content down to a T and do every single past paper
Paper 1 and 2 both went well for me, I hope I can do well in paper 3 as well. Physics my best subject but i don't understand Paper 3.
