In my Legacy 6MT the DRL illuminates after engine on and p-brake released. I want to switch the DRL from the hi beam to the blinker (with a switchback bulb.) How do I identify the relay for that?
I have an 07 XT Manual RHD. Honestly didn’t know we had DRL’s normally lol. Unless the Aussie version is different? I know I have a button on top of the steering wheel column that can turn lights on without the other switch. Been thinking about putting in eyebrow drl/switchback so been trying to research lol, any help appreciated
Finally! I've been trying to figure this out for a while. Keep making these 06 Forester videos! Great content for me and many others to lean on for help.
Not sure that would be possible, the drl and low beam share the same wire at some point after the relay and before the resistor under the hood. Other years and models will vary, of course.
Thanks for finding the daytime running light wiring! I was just doing the same this weekend. With that LED it looks really really good and modern. Quick question are those OEM headlights of good aftermarket reps? They look super clean. my headlights are super cloudy & I am looking for new headlight!!!! In the worst way.
You're welcome, finding a good diagram was tough so I thought I would try to make it easier. As for the headlights, they are from headlight depot and unfortunately they leak. I'm still on the search myself.
Yes, cool video but missed the critical part about showing how you fit and wired those LED strips. How did you seal the old socket? Ever thought about wiring the amber LED portion with the turn signal? Would enjoy chatting more with you. How can we get in contact? Thanks
@@DIYEVERYTHING Gotcha and like what you did (have same 06 FXT), but what’s the point of redoing this if it’s “not” about what lights you are using my dude? Other wise would just use the existing lights… Right? Curious how you sealed up the hole with the LED? Any good words there? Thanks
@@sethblackmoore3057 hey bud, I actually did purchase all the parts/gear to install and will want to do this my self here soon (had some family stuff to handle). His instructions are clear and sound. So, the one long term problem I see or should say am concerned about is making sure the LED’s are nice a straight/positioned correctly so it all looks clean and just as important that it will be sealed good and not leak in the rain or car washes… I have full set of Lasfit led bulbs all the way around the front/back of FSTi and inside cab too (looks great I would suggest to do that as well). You got a fun rig even N/A, make her dope! 👍🏻

You can find the factory service manual on line for free.

I don't know for sure, but your light setup may be different.

Happy it was helpful. I'll make videos when I can since the Forester has gone to college.
Would cutting the drl wire and connecting it to the led strip work the same? Or would that be too much power output for the led?

thanks for the advice. I didn't want daylight and only the h1 and fog light
Glad you found this useful.

This was more about finding the correct wire at the relay and not using the resistor then it was about the lights I used. Thanks for watching.

those led running lights are sweet, you should show us how you put them in.

Hey. What tyres are those?
BF Goodrich Advantage T/A on 2012 WRX wheels.
Nice forester. Where did you get your headlights?
