aw, HELL no! ya can't bail already! everyone says Episode 3 is a Whole New Trash, Atop The Old! YOU MUST REACT!!
Hollywood needs to listen to these guys. This is your audience and they understand filmmaking and storytelling. One says "I'm trying to pull something out of nothing." and the other says "The hype level went down." Andor was a master class in cinematography and storytelling and that should be the standard for all Star Wars shows. Now, Andor is not the type of Star Wars show I'm looking for. I want to see more Sith vs Jedi and stories closer to Knight of the Old Republic cinematics but Andor should be the starting point. No show produced that's less than the quality of Andor. Disney, These guys know quality and they were still respectful with their review.
@@surfntrucks even with Andor's palpable Lefty agenda, it still stands as a fine example of Storytelling Done Well. Season 1/2 of Mandalorian as well. ALL of the rest has been fan service (variously successful) and/or trainwreck wokery.
@@Jeton6 Yes, that's why I said Andor wasn't what I was looking for. The morals don't align with mine and I couldn't root for Andor. There is good and evil and Disney is trying to blur the lines. That messaging bleeds out in the real word and you can see the results in New York, Cali and Chicago. American apathy. But back to the point, Star Wars as a property needs to be handled with respect for the lore. Story has to come first and then you can include whoever you want. George did this with his movies.
I'm surprised by their reaction to the story. The mystery is not a WHO did it, but WHY? What did these Jedi do that was so bad that one chose to self-delete and the other is living in isolation?
It's like The Fugitive; we know the doctor didn't kill his wife from the opening, but we still want to know why it happened.
Agreed. It's all about what actually happened which nobody seems to know. Two Jedi feel guilty and two Jedi don't. One sister blames the Jedi and the other sister blames the first sister. And, both sisters believed the other sister was dead. At this point, I don't think any of the show's characters know what actually happened. Maybe a Sith was secretly pulling the strings causing all this confusion?
I want to know why Torbin would not allow Mae to stab him if he was going to drink the poison. He didn't fight back so why not allow her to stab him?
@@ahmorgan My guess is he didn't know who was attacking him. Later (when she brings the poison) she explains herself.
@@brettholcomb3763 Maybe. What about the Jedi not tightening up their security after learning there was an attack on Torbin? That made no sense at all! You know a Master Jedi (Indara) was murdered and there was an attack on another and you don't have someone watching him? Smh
@@ahmorgan yeah. I can see that. Although, he did appear more or less impenetrable. How could they foresee that he would willingly drink poison? They seemed to be more concerned with tracking down the suspect than they were concerned that someone could harm Torbin.
Listen, the fact that dude said “forgive me” almost immediately, you know they did something egregious!!!
I just don’t get why he would listen to single word a sith has to say
@@Drjd-yq4bl because he's been feeling guilt for over 10 years lmao, the person he feels guilty about is literally talking to him
Cuase his actions probably caused her to do this
@@Drjd-yq4bl This may just be semantics, but for clarification, Mae isn't a Sith...yet. In fact, at this point, we don't even know if she's ever heard the word "Sith," much less that her master is one (which I believe he is).
Jedi always taking the easy way out. Hiding or avoiding responsibility.
Why does Joe keep saying the sisters met in episode 1?! They didn't meet. Osha had a Force vision or dream when she was knocked out during the crash. They even show her waking up from it. How did he miss that?
Force Skype
Y'all gotta keep watching it's a mystery I don't know why reactors are getting confused lol also Mae can't win against these Jedi so that's why she plays dirty tricks and appeals to their compassion as Jedi to win. Shes being trained by a sith to be an assassin.
It's 🔥 🗑
@@cwell510 to you but we all have different opinions
I think this is a tough show for some reactors because you really have to pay attention and sometimes they are too busy reacting and miss some stuff
@@ATLPolo maybe lol idk it seems like a basic mystery plot it's not going to be revealed all in 2 episodes that would be lame. The crazy thing about it is you don't even need to know a huge amount of lore because this is brand new material.
It feels like folks have really short attention spans these days and want to know all the answers at once. It's as if people don't understand the concept of a mystery anymore.
Conversely, streaming has messed up the pacing of shows a lot because it feels like the studio wants a movie but stretched out across episodes.
20:11
Ain't gon lie.. Ya'll COOOOOKED, I mean cooked Mae's master. lol hahaha 🤣😂
Yalls reaction to her looking guilty over the dead Jedi’s body. Had me rolling 😂
I screameeed!!
Hang in there, Struggle Sons. It's getting there. Those 4 Jedi must have done *something* to set Mae on a killing spree. Something, perhaps, about that fire? I'm guessing a Sith found Mae and trained the shit outta her. She's *bad ass.*
I'd hardly say bad ass, every fight scene she gets absolutely walked on by sol and trinity she only killed trinity becuase of a extremely obvious move (lazy writing) and then her 2nd kill was suicide cause she couldn't touch him. Just cause she flips around alot and uses the force to throw some daggers and kicking giant tables across room doesn't make her bad ass in my opinion.
@@edwardmccoy490 and she then gets overpowered by someone she had the jump on
@@Drjd-yq4bl Yeah, but I think Qimir might be more than just "someone." (Cough) Sith Lord (Cough)
Yeah I don't know why the fuck they don't see that.
As a mystery and star wars mystery i think its pretty good so far
Osha was Jedi trained. Mae was trained by that Sith as an Acolyte.
Not a sith
@@dispicableG23 You dont know what you are talking about so shut it. I wont read your reply. Goodbye
@beriliumsphere107 😂 sound like you are 11 years old either good bye little gurl 🤓
Typical snowflake being offended by a fact and pretending not to read this
it’s doing exactly its job for yall it’s a mystery yall are just confused on what’s happening
exactly. they are like the story is eh. but in the same breath are like but why are they doing this? what is happening here? Now if they cant pull it together in the end thats different but the idea is its suppose to keep you wondering and thats exactly what they doing
@@SPINNINNZEN If I shit in a baggie and store it in the mailbox, my neighbor is going to be confused. So does that make me a good writer?
Its almost like some people aren’t used to star wars being a mystery so it isn’t reading as that? We’ll get there ahaha just let things unfold yoo
no one is confused about the idiocy that fake star wars disney is
boom
There are definitely writing weaknesses, but some of the problems people have with the show stem from misinterpretation of certain scenes. You might have found it less nonsensical if you saw these things as intended:
1. Osha through the Force, dreamed about Mae. She felt then confirmed Mae was alive, but Mae has no idea Osha was alive until the Jedi claim she was (it is understandable that you thought it was a psychic two way conversation though).
2. The Sith sword ignition was for the audience to know that was a Sith instead of taking it for granted a dark figure would be immediately thought to be one (also, his apprentice is to covet the power, signified by the saber, until she earns it through her trials - killing at least one Jedi weaponless)
3. We are not meant to have a reason for the Sith to want to kill Jedi because the idea is that Sith desire the downfall of the Jedi. Period. They are their ancient enemy, even though the Jedi at this point are unaware some exist in this time.
4. Yes Osha missed the fitst shot intentionally, but firing the second shot was to sell that she was trying to hit her to her associates who were arriving.
5. With the understanding Mae is only now confirming Osha's survival at the escape scene, this is not enough to curb her desire for revenge on the 4 Jedi she believes wronged her. If we assume her reason for the hatred is the death of her family, then that's only her sister surviving. She still lost her parents and her village, plus was molded by the Sith master to direct her hate towards the 4 Jedi she blames for whatever incident back then, instead of accepting blame for the fire.
6. We are yet to find out what the 4 Jedi are being blamed for. We assume it is the burning of the village, but there may be more to it, and clearly the Jedi master isn't even aware of what exactly went down. Only Indara and the 10 year meditating Jedi may have known and been complicit; plus possibly the Wookie.
If scenes are misinterpreted it's not the audience's fault. The explanations aren't good either. It's not your fault. I mean the show is making you do too much work to rationalize it's poor writing.
I was out with the planetary re-entry impact. She learn that from Jedi or in space firefighter school?
@@stevena.7022 Completely fair assessment. That's why my intent isn't to call this a "good" show necessarily, but to question feelings that follow missing the point of an earlier scene. The things I listed are only because they brought them up, and others in the chat did, but I understood those things on my one viewing - I also understand how someone could miss what I picked up, so no shade meant in the least.
That said, as someone who is very clear on what the real science behind many things are, I immediately also knew there's no way just strapping into a chair will help someone survive planet fall, but I ignore it because I saw it coming and see A TON of shows have people walk away from certain death and have less complaints because they're overall more entertaining and have less "How the...?" moments. If we need to, we could even say "Still functional inertial dampening fields help soften terminal velocity crashes in much the same way they allow someone to survive acceleration into hyperspace or even just a fraction the speed of light." A lot more than we think we see and accept is actually completely impossible and most people are just so unaware of the physics that they don't have a problem with it yet (go watch The Expanse if you want a more realistic depiction of close to light speed acceleration effects on a human body, even in space).
@@bajansamurai It's always the failed opportunity that hits hardest. My suggestion for the same scene: She's strapped in to her chair when she glances at a mech-nic crate.... A suit some mag-boots! Ship's breaking up... her on the ''wing'' surfing re-entry like Dark Star... Some free fall and a cool parachute... Big shot of flaming inferno as she floats into a desolate planet.
Yes still ridiculous, But It connects her skillset to survival. It's epic, and It's narrowly plausible.
@@stevena.7022 Not a bad idea at all (especially when it comes to cool factor) but if you actually fully understand terminal velocity and how that limits non-propelled acceleration in an atmosphere; pressure and heat effects from the compression wave ahead of the ship at reentry; crumple zones, lack of aerodynamics, and the sliding angle of impact, her chances of surviving a crash from space like that aren't actually too dissimilar from crashing from much lower in an airplane - it would have been very different with a straight downward or head on collision crash to a sudden stop. The crash actually isn't the most egregious thing at all.
The most realistic choice for that scene would have involved her ejecting pre-crash and parachuting or using the equivalent of a jet pack to land (or the Force), and the outcome they needed of her being stranded on that planet to be picked up later would have been intact - but my point remains, we balk at how impossible surviving that crash "should" be because we think we are more aware of just how much force crashing at that speed involves, but we don't balk at how you'd probably liquify your organs to accelerate to even 1/10th light speed without a completely fictional inertial dampening technology existing in sci-fi (think whiplash at the micro and macro level).
Surfing outside the ship would have likely cooked her, crashing at an angle in a crumpling ship is improbable but not actually impossible (like non-atmospheric sound is), much less so too if an [admittedly unreferenced] inertial dampening system isn't helping things inside reduce the effects of rapid acceleration and deceleration.
So I forego the complaints about sci-fi impossibilities, and focus on what narratively was intended and what people may have missed; and some people misread the Force dream as an actual conversation between the kids which then confused them as to why Mae was surprised to actually see Osha.
I am intrigued to uncover the mystery. Supposedly the next two episodes are great so hopefully things will pick up from there
It's known as a mystery. Maybe it's not a genre you're familiar with? I think they're trying to do an unconventional Star Wars show, but viewers just want more of the same type of "quest" story structure.
And then they complain about shows being predictable.
"Captain Morgan"
I think the Jedi, particularly Sol, wanted to avoid Mae and Osha coming into contact. He even jumped at the chance to lead the investigation. “Please let me take accountability” yo he really just wants to make sure the Jedi council doesn’t find out the truth 😱 *possibly*
Mae might very well be the only other person that may know what the Jedi are lying about.
A big thing about the Jedi in this show is that they are very manipulative. With people. With the truth. I fully expect Osha to lose faith in the Jedi and join her sister. At least that’s what I hope for. Having the series end with both protagonists being sith would be different and cool.
Your reviews are hilarious please keep reviewing
This is a mystery show! 😂
💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
Pretty sure the Jedi were on crud and Mae is the aggrieved party here.
thumbs up!... for the free talk/laughs at the end from the br0's;)
The idea of bond twins that share a mind was introduced in the Star Wars "The High Republic" comics. This seems to be a modern take on it.
I bet what they did was not protect the town from whatever issues they were having, then they came at the end to grab Osha. Realized that there were two of them and just didn't grab Mae during the fire. Now their choices are coming back to haunt them.
Hope you two are having an great and awesome day ❤
Personally, I think the Sith is Darth Tenebrous. He was the Sith Master to Darth Plagueis the Wise who eventually took on Palpatine.
The new Force-fu combat seems cool. Don't understand the hate this show is getting. 🙄
I doubt hate has very little to do with the actual quality of the show.
Man you guys NEED to react to the Bel Air Season 3 teaser asap! It’s great
Great review cant wait for the next episode
Meditating Jedi=King Tommen from GoT
I can’t wait until episode 3
I think the next show you should watch is Rebels. That is amazing!!
The comments are full of crybabies. Like why are they so upset that you guys don't mess with it.
It's a shame because visually, it looks on point with the aliens and costumes
I'm with you guys, it's lacking that special something
I'm struggling to understand why everyone wants to dislike this show so much 🤔🤔🤔
Only thing I can tell you is that I'm just not really feeling it. And I've liked every Star Wars show so far, even when others didn't. I've watched the first two episodes and it's just not captivating or intriguing me. I'm going to watch episode 3 and if doesn't shift or change pretty dramatically I'm out.
@@artdogg50 Y'all are too used to the conventional "quest" story structure, where the heroes have to go to Location A to perform Task B to fulfil Goal C. Now that there is no defined goal, such people are lost. This show has its problems (abrupt endings and some clunky dialog), but as someone who likes mystery box shows, I'm enjoying it.
@@selina6408good for you. I guess
I was out when she tanked a planetary re-entry impact better than Groot. She learn that is space firefighter school? Mace Windu must have hit the sidewalk and bounced.
Because the writing is just...not great. Believe me. I wanted to like it, but the writing and direction ain't doing it for me. Andor is still by far the best SW show imo. HOPEFULLY, the new season is just as good and does not lose its way.
See I couldn't stand obi wan and am digging this so far everyone is different lol
Been likening the after show review. This was too funny.
I think the Jedi who was floating for ten years blamed himself for the death of some random kid
Yes will continue to watch it and hope it pulls me in. But so far it’s not doing for me
Read the comments, seems like more people can explain it, otherwise just skip it.
It just seems like dudes do not give female led shows a chance. They are not the only one's. Remember, everyone hated Ahsoka when she was introduced.
of course people like you would come up with this typical cringe line as always. defending bad writing and horrible acting with sexism. stfu
Troll or link a SN video to support.
@@stevena.7022 Kristian Harloff is calling it a CW show. I do not get that at all. I do not think they are being haters. I am just saying that there may be biases here people do not even know they have. I have found it compelling.
@@marshsundeen I thought you meant these dudes specifically. They gave it and plenty of others a chance.
@@stevena.7022 no. Not these guys. Trust me, I have been told by other guys online that stuff like this should be solely for white men and Star Wars, Marvel, Star Trek and Doctor Who should not have women or people of color in them. I really was just saying that in the reactions I have seen, men (of any race), are more likely to write off shows created by women (not necessarily purposefully).
Obi won pulled you in but you have Problems with this?!?!
May is being trained as a sith.
I think it would've been much better if the trailer didn't summarize the first episode and the master wasn't shown until close to the end of the season. Lean into the mystery and save some surprises. Feels like they showed all the cards already
I agree with some of your comments on how the acting is a bit all over the place (that overweight Jedi felt well out of place), but Sol is still an interesting character I want more focus on. But yeah, bland was probably the way I feel about most of it for now. The action sequences have been really good and quite new for Star Wars. But aside from that it's got a long way to go before it catches up to the likes of Andor.
I think the show is a mystery of who the mysterious dark side user is and it’s gonna turn out it’s the return of the sith and they gonna be a big fight between the Jedi and the sith at the end
Please watch up to episode five now episode five is the best one so far
I think there going to make the twins have the same force connection abilities as Kylo Ren and Ray in the final movie of that trilogy
Brothers, I don't know what you're having a problem with... I think this storyline is fantastic. It has nothing to do with the Empire, Luke, Leia, or Vader. We're getting introduced to things we only have a passing understanding of right now in a new context. And "what happened" is the mystery of the series right now. We aren't supposed to immediately know.
Still appreciate you all... you're almost always for a good reaction, but I think you're way off here. IMO though.
The story is shit. Derivative and uninspiring with zero innovation in storytelling and ideas.
@@thomasalexander9978 Fantastic. You said absolutely nothing that is substantive while trying to be smug about a mediocre show. So, according to you, the word 'derivative' should now be retired. Never mind if it even applies conclusively in this context, because you have deemed it unworthy of use. Stop being a child.
Why is being innovative within the context of the show a bad thing? They're angling for this very thing, in this very show with the twins, the Wookie with Force powers and so on but it's executed with the most lazy and DERIVATIVE way. Innovation can be utilized in a pre-existing universe. It can open doors to new ideas. The prequels were set in a pre-existing universe and they introduced new ideas, concepts and styles. You're the one simping for a mediocre DERIVATIVE show that barely reaches the low bar it has set itself. It's derided by most people which should give some pause and ask some questions if you're even watching this objectively.
How is young Mae guiding osha while old Osha is killing master torbin. So confusing
Its a murder mystery show
It’s a mystery you’re not supposed to know everything within two episodes
Try episode 5...🔥... ⚔️...🔥.

I agree that the story isn’t captivating. I get it’s a mystery and it’s supposed to build but it’s just eh so far. And I’m sorry but the main masked sith dude had some hilariously bad dialogue and line delivery that last episode. Mf sounded like a middle school edgelord😭
"Kill the dream." 😂
They directed it wrong 🤣
1st time I've heard Struggle Nation express negative criticism. Usually you like everything. Your thoughts are still kind compared to other reviewers. This show must really & truly suck.
No one questions that this is their honest opinion, it's just a bit surprising.
The fighting scenes are the alone thing that's is good About the show
You guys need to have some patience, it's a mystery you need to give it time. You guys are judging this way too soon.
jepp and they arent funny
Am I the only one wondering why Torbin wouldn't allow himself to be stabbed if he was planning to take poison and commit suicide anyway?
Probably due to intent. Mae slicing him up didn’t resonance with the ‘absolution’ he was looking for
Torbin's just a devoted mime. If she would have knocked he'd of let her in.
Writing is not strong with this one,I like the fight scenes and Master Sol is interesting but that dialog is not great....
When the review is way better than the show!
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I think Osha is Mae…and Mae is Osha...
Is Disney watching this? they need to because WHAT IS GOING ON!! I was so hyped after Ahsoka & The Mandalorian.
AWESOME REACTION OF MY FAVORITE STAR WARS THE ACOLYTE EPISODE!!!!!!!!!!!!😊😊😊😊😊
🤣🤣🤣
It seems like this show has sacrificed a strong build-up of characters for the shock and mystery factors. Not well executed so far. But it is visually stunning. DIsney has this problem of not starting a story in the past. They like to throw us into the future, then muddy the story with Flashbacks (which you know those are coming)
I don't think it looks all that. Some decent locations, I appreciate that it's not all soundstage, but the tried to make it star-warzie everywhere. It looks like the line to galaxy's edge theme park.
"I don't know what it is" I think I do. The character/actress, Mae just seems too nice. She's a jedi killer and she seems way too lil' and nice. That's what it is, I can't believe. I don't believe for a second she's some terrifying jedi killing villain. Hell I don't even know WHY she's supposed to be so mad. She's like a little ninja that needs a time out or a nap or somethin'.
i loved the part about you missed on purpose, why you shoot again? 😂 Why are you shooting up my store, yo?!?!?
Turn on his lightsaber it serves no purpose, it's just the two of us, what are you turning that on for? 🤣
Yeah the story doesn't make to much sense
You two are hilarious, i'm glad i'm not the only one seeing all the dumb shit going on in this storyline 😂
Look. Those first two episodes of Andor were mid and then it became amazing. Benefit of the doubt
Andor was never mid - maybe to children. This show, however, is the very epitome of mediocre.
Complaining. You want to hate the show. It's not about "who" it's about "what" it's not that hard.
Have you watched their reactions before? They are definitely not "haters." These two are far more forgiving of flaws in shows than I could ever be, and yet they have issues with one.
Exactly. It's about "what". Just things that happened. People always expect something interesting or enjoyable. it's just what happens! It's not supposed to make any sense
Go back 1st episode read the beginning
I want them to watch mind hunter that will be funny.
**EDIT**
I'm on episode 3, It doesn't get better, It gets worse.... 👀 🥹😭

I felt the same way about Thor:Love and Thunder, I felt like I wasted my birthday. Y’all loved it, but it seems like our opinions are switched now.😂
The show is similar to the Phantom Menace, An antagonist to the Jedi/Sith lord pops up, now it’s time to investigate who and why.
The link between Osha and Mae, Is a thing that was shown in KOTOR (introduced in ESB) called force bond, that’s why she had visions of her, even though she thought she was dead.
SPOILERS
Based the trailer, it seems like the reason for Mae’s revenge is that one of the Jedi( the one that killed himself) got possessed and did something crazy.
Mae is not a sith!! She is a manipulated dark force user.
Some people in the comments are trying to say,”oh it’s a mystery it’s supposed to be like that’s. Maybe people aren’t used to start wars being a mystery.” Let’s not act like guys in general haven’t watched multiple Star Wars shows. The writing sucks. They should have made their own boring story and leave this property alone. I’ve seen all of the movies old and new and I’m still not a fan of Star Wars. But don’t try to make excuses for bad writing acting like people don’t know what a mystery story is.
Whether you liked the show or not, I’m hinging on these reactions man, talking shit about the Sith dude is never not funny
How can you judge a show based off 2 episodes yall don’t even know the story yet
The details. The details matter
So far, this show ain't it. Supposedly, the show gets worse in the third episode. I'm worried.

The post reaction banter about being disappointed in the series, made it worth watching this trash ass show lol
The Disney shills have infiltrated the chat...😂
Or maybe they just like the show 🤔
Yep. The Disney Marketing Interns are earning their pay today 😂
They're trying to make the twins look good by making the jedi look stupid. How do they both have the same hair style? Why the F did the jedis not close the skylight, if they knew someone got in? Even better, why the F*ck did Mae even did all that effort to get in from the front door, if the skylight was already open? And why that jedi that past right beside her, did not question her presence there? Too many dumb things happening in each episode, I just fear for the good actors that might be marked after this shit hits the fan next episode.
At this point, I don't even care about the main plot with all this inconsistencies. Not even the fight scenes will save this show.
Seeing yall hate on it i know this joint is trash for real😂
Lame.
I've never understood the appeal of star wars?
The first 6 movies are great
What is going on with this unnecessary dialog? Then when I expecting the sisters to talk, one shots at the other and she is a terrible shot.... Who is writing this storyline?
We are 2 Episodes into an 8 Episode Season and there is no motivation, no understand of her skills, not foundation for these people helping her or what the Jedi did or is hiding... 6 More shows and I am debate if I want to watch any more.... SMH
(How can they keep messing up Star Wars???)
The first 2 eps suck..
The acting is mediocre. The twin thing sucked. The 2nd master drinking the poison willingly was just lame af..
And the fight between Mae and Sol just proved that Mae is not even close to taking out a Jedi master (Indara) by herself. So that just derailed the power scaling..
HAHAHA this show is so bad. Like where do they even get these writers from? AI can do better.
Thank god you guys told the truth. Other reactors actin like it's good. This show sucks ass!..2 episodes..done..
Jedi master Sol is my favorite so far and the fights are really good but god this show is garbage and a disgrace to Star Wars thanks Kathleen Kennedy ugh
Poor acting and poor writing. 2 outta 5 stars for me.
This a shill show, I’ll still watch it but I’m hearing they’re making the force female on the third episode and using excessive pronouns😂
Wut?
bro what?
Worst star wars show. Go woke go broke.
They are trying so hard to force hella women into StarWars because they think there haven’t been enough women in StarWars. Which is absolute bullshi, there has been plenty of women characters in StarWars. Because of this idiotic thought, they’re trying to fix an imaginary problem. Now it makes the casting feel hella unnatural and corny. Even George himself said that you can’t just put a women in pants and expect her to be the hero. They need to stop wit this crap. Of course this isn’t the only reason this crap sucks. It’s just boring as hell. At least too me
