Hey im doing cybersecurity professional certificate, after i complete this as you say for a “ foundation “ what should i do next on coursera please help!

I think the l boot camps are a rip off. I took part in 2 (24 and 36 week) boot camps that were govt funded here in UK, including free vouchers for CompTIA trifecta exams. The cost would have been over £5k each.
Now to be honest if you aren’t an IT newbie i think they are pretty useless and waste of time. If i could go back i would just go straight to the security +. That would have saved me a year of learning irrelevant stuff like A+ and boot camp certifications which hold no value other than boosting your confidence.
The only benefit to a bootcamp is the career support and personal networking after you finish. But is it really your benefit or a big money maker for them? Because in most cases they take a fair chunk from your wage for that so again it’s not worth it unless you have absolutely zero experience or have no direction where you want to go.

Singapore has the same type of government-funded bootcamp named skillsfuture which is a total waste of time when coursera and udemy are superior, best part employers here refuse to hire locals due to cost reasons in many cases they bring in people from India and 3rd world countries that bought their certs off the black market

Would you say python and C++ are good languages to learn first in college? or maybe substitute c++ for another say java? or stick to c++ FYI I start my programming languages next spring 2025 so I have and I definitely want to stick with python for sure.
