On the stock turbo it’s fine. But running a bigger turbo like TD05 18 or 20G you will see the difference much more. Turbo is able to build boost earlier and hold it longer. I had really quick spoolup with the 18G.
It varies tbh Martin, depends on the wastegate actuator. A 3 port is never a bad thing though 👍

Great video Duncan. Opinions on water or water/alcohol injection as a safety net to remove risk of detonation on the EJ engine?
Thank you. I am not a fan tbh.
1. Lots of expense
2. Can't tune for it on the std ecu so can only ever be a safety net.
3. A splash of meth in the tank works better as a safety net and more meth in the tank works better for power (if mapped for)

Hi, really enjoying your content, but I have perhaps stupid question, you said when you changed to the 3 port, you don’t longer need the hose with the restriction pill in. Does that apply to “all” 3 port solenoids? Because I was thinking to get fuij racing’s to my wrx bugeye. Thanks Tobias
Yes, it is no longer needed on a 3 port set up 👍
I noticed my boost gauge is far more stable after you fitted the 3port. Has to be worth it if nothing else.

I keep these in stock. Not normally with the loom adaptor plug though

Can you fit a 3 port without mapping the car after ?
I wouldn't recommend it. It will build boost easier and could easily overboost. best to get the map changed 👍

Hi. Have you got the test mode connectors joined and the white flash block on the other plug?
3 port needs fine tuning else it can cause issues compared to 2 port which is less agressive
