I know lyrics are weird like that, but sometimes we have to remind ourselves that these idols are adults and are only getting older, not younger. So yeah, they’ll have mature lyrics every now and then.
sexual lyrics may sound strange bc yeah it isn’t really the norm for what K-pop is but a lot of krnb have more of this vibe which I loveee, minnie’s voice shuts that genre sm
Yeah, it feels uncanny when idols have lyrics as such, and honestly, it's still fairly uncommon in traditional kpop songs (with some exceptions). This single obviously has a big Western influence, gives me big The Weeknd vibes (I guess with some Sickick?), it's full on English, target audience isn't necessarily the Korean market. Personally, I have mixed feelings regarding words like these in Kr music. I like that generally it's not common, but I'm also not a fan of how the Korean industry tries to control a lot in this regard. And generally, I think it's a bit unpleasant to hear this kind of lyrics in poppy songs, when the singers are girls (aka young women that are around 20 or lower); but Gidle aren't really newcomers, Minnie is 27, I think at this point she's allowed to sing whatever the heck she wants lol.

I agree
I think 20 is fine bc that’s an adult and around when young adults are exploring their sexuality without restrictions. 18- is where I’d draw the line
