You are such a great smart-ass! I was looking at that tire table from :0001 secs into the video, so much so that I can’t recall what the actual video subject was all about … 😂
Thanks for this video, great info!! Just checked out the Pecron 1500 LFP and it can charge via AC (1.4kw) and DC (up to 700w) at the same time and prefers the DC over AC and has 30 amp DC output. Of course, still not as nice and simple as this one but perhaps a cheaper option?
@@urbanarkoverland yes sold as 1536Wh and the tests that I have seen say it has a DC capacity of ~93% and an AC capacity of ~84%. Not bad I'd say for 999 euro.
I might be completely blind now, but what is "it" ? I see no name or any mention of the name in the video or description... (Edit: Clayton Power it seems looking thru the webpage )
bluetti charger 1 or the pecron can do about 480 or 500 watts from your alternator. im trying to understand why this is still relevant??? Loved your bluetti stuff must be a money maker :(

Excellent bit of kit - can’t see any justification for a “traditional” electrical installation now. I’ll do you a favour and take one of the power banks that now must be gathering dust and getting under your other half’s feet away if you want…?!
This is exactly what I've been looking for until I saw this, my only option was the goal zero. [I want to be able to take it out of the van when I dont need it, and I don't give a damn about solar ,200w supplemental is fine] but Im in the U.S. so hopefully they'll have a 110v option soon. Oh tyre table , any plans for it to come in UAO black , u know it makes sense 😊keep up the good work brother 👍
Haha yeah I was in the comments trying to answer Rob who had some good points. It depends on how much you move each day as the alternator charge is so rapid. For full time vanlife I would go with the additional 280ah clayton add on giving you 440 in total.
@@ahoyleisure Any details yet on how long it would take to recharge 440 via the alternator (with super booster addon)? And was a bluetooth app also in the works?
@@stevewilliams9753 No confirmed figures yet on how the supercharger will work with the additional battery added on. My guess is rather than kick in below 29% battery capacity it will kick in sooner so you are pulling in 1000w more often but in a phased way. With that in mind it’s a capacity of around 5kWh usable energy so I would think you are going from 0-80% in about 4hrs give or take. As soon as they arrive I will test. 👍🏼⚡️

I was very interested in this as i am looking for a 300ah solution for my motorhome. I have specced it on the clayton website and turns out (and this is without a solar panel) it will come to over £8864. Thats for an LPS ll 3000 and a CPG4 Extension battery 100ah (which is confusing as the website says you cannot add extra batteries to the LPS ll 3000). And thats without any installation costs. So, i'm going to get a quote for a Victron installation and see how much that is going to cost using Li Time mini batteries as i'm tight for space. Great video though.
@@urbanarkoverland Yeah, i guess i could but it's still going to be circa £7800 before any discount codeplus installation (that would have to be done by someone else because what i know about electrics you could write on the back of a postage stamp). Ecoflow Delta pro can output 30A on the Anderson port and has a higher capacity for solar charging. I got 4x 160wp renogy panels hooked up to it. I will stick with victron as it may take more space but it easier to expand if and when required and more importantly if a battary fails i can pop to where ever to get a replacement quicker than going through the rigmarole of having to send the whole unit back and being without power for days/weeks.
@@cerebralsecuritysolutions4640 no. If you are confident to do so. They send replacement parts to wherever you are. So you could say you were wrong in that one.

Oh ok. Thanks for reaching out with that info. 1500. Would that be the watt hours?
@@urbanarkoverland yes sold as 1536Wh and the tests that I have seen say it has a DC capacity of ~93% and an AC capacity of ~84%. Not bad I'd say for 999 euro.

Ah fair play. Well that’s new.

At that price you should be mentioning the price right upfront, though (around £2-3000 for 1kWH, depending on output)
Not at all. Not just on capacity. See the next video where I compare it to all the individual parts
bluetti charger 1 or the pecron can do about 480 or 500 watts from your alternator. im trying to understand why this is still relevant??? Loved your bluetti stuff must be a money maker :(
@@dtjmonk I don’t make any money from this video no.
That looks awesome! I didn’t understand a word of what you were saying but still looks good. Would it fit under the passenger seat of you T6? I have a leisure battery under my seat in my T5 so I would just swap it out. Do you use a split relay on it to charge from the battery too? Bit pricey but could be well worth it. Great video, love the look of the tyre tables too, that’s a mint idea 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
No there no need for a split relay it has an alternator charger built in👍🏼 Wouldn’t fit under a front seat but would under a rear bed seat👍🏼
There are smaller version at smaller prices.
Not physically smaller though.
Think I'd have super anxiety of it being stolen!
Should be bolted down in a cupboard deep in the bowels ha
Excellent bit of kit - can’t see any justification for a “traditional” electrical installation now.
I’ll do you a favour and take one of the power banks that now must be gathering dust and getting under your other half’s feet away if you want…?!
Ha ha. You would think so. Only ever did two receives mate.
Fabulous! If only they made different power systems for different regions like Canada, 110v.

Hmmmm. Not sure about shipping to the states mate. And the 110 option to be fair. Goal zero is a strong plan b. Was the best of the rest 👍🏻

Haha yeah I was in the comments trying to answer Rob who had some good points.
It depends on how much you move each day as the alternator charge is so rapid. For full time vanlife I would go with the additional 280ah clayton add on giving you 440 in total.
Ha ha. Some people are fighting battles they know nothing about my friend. Ha.
Yes. It will be powder coated 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

@@urbanarkoverland I’m sure you’re not but sadly we aren’t all as fortunate , the whole premise of the film was promoting it to the viewer was it not ? Looks great very expensive

On no problem mate.

Just buy two LPS 3000’s. What are they with my code. About 3400. Let one charge the other Boom
