MrDibara also an effective marketing strategy was that mysterious achievement for re2, most who finished and thought they were done with re2, they're gonna start it up again, look for Jill's letter(which will probably be in the stars office on her desk), probably ending up finishing the whole game and dying for more. I started up re2 two days before this announcement and finished Claire A the day before the announcement and I'm needing more, about to go do Leon a or Claire B
Capcom are the best at marketing : Re7 reveal was awesome, so was RE2R and now this. They are genius.

Honestly this makes so much sense. Who would willingly buy Resistance? Like capcoms’s logic is people are already buying RE3 remake lets get that playerbase into resistance for free

Use RE3 to create a playerbase for Resistance, and then provide paid DLC to make some money and they can even use that gauge the success of Resistance since it won't have traditional sales metrics.
Prediction: RE 7 and RE2R were prototypes for Nemesis ai; and Resistance is a prototype for an Outbreak revival.

@@JoseBerrospi Yeah, I have a feeling that REsistance was always meant to be the multiplayer of RE3. Obviously, RE3 was being developed before REsistance was even an idea. Chances are, RE3 started as soon as RE2 was done.

I feel that Capcom has officially mastered the art of trolling with this. The fact that Project Resistance is just the multiplayer mode for RE3 Remake is proof of this, since Resistance was advertised as a standalone game.
They even kept it going right up until the last moment by going "Here's an exclusive reveal of the campaign portion of Project Resistance" You did good Capcom, you did good.
i feel like resistance is still standalone because the way its worded it says "RE3 will also included REsistance" like if you buy RE3 you get resistance for free

While that would be neat, I feel compelled to point out that Jill was infected for a time in the original game before Carlos retrieved an antidote.
She sure was. I am curious if they will expand that, or just have it play out in a similar way so we get to play as Carlos for a bit.

Tinfoil hat theory - The RE3 remake was decided on first, and Mr. X in the RE2 remake was intended as a way of getting people ready for Nemesis who's gon' give you the real D.

Tbh it's hard to be hyped for the game after what we got with RE2 so you can expect more of the same.
I mean, it was a little clear regardless that they might ACTUALLY be doing a remake, considering that they already remade RE1&2. But the fact is nobody knew WHEN it was coming.

@@njkool8859 It's the OST. That sound effect and music is from the original play station 1 game back in 1999. That's why the audio is bad. That is not him saying "stars." That's just the BGM. I guarantee you that he will not sound anything like the original Nemesis. 1). The guy who did the nemesis voice passed away. 2). they are going to take a different approach.
THEORY: That is just a regular tyrant/mr.x. He either 1). gets killed by Nemesis to show how much more of a threat Nemesis is than the typical tyrant or 2). This tyrant later gets infected with the NE-α parasite and becomes Nemesis. But right now, he looks and acts just like Mr. X.
They wouldn't show Nemesis in the beginning if they are going to reveal him at the end. We'll get more Nemesis in the next trailer.

Square set the tone with FF7Remake ...now Capcom was like ok lets get it. I played RE3 waaay more than 2 so I can't wait to get my has on this one.
I've had a thought about the moment we see Jill turn into a zombie and back to normal. In the novelisation of RE3, it's implied that Jill is still suffering from PTSD from the events of Resident Evil and she says "It gets worse every night" and complains about a headache, both of these throw away lines could be due to lack of sleep (also the headache line could be from being infected by Nemesis tho) and it wouldn't be the first time the Remakes has taken something from the SD Perry Novels. In the 'City of the Dead' AKA RE2, I think Claire mentions that both her parents died and Chris was the only person left from her family.
Man Nemesis is going to cause people to actually have heart attacks if they thought Mr X was bad!
Also, I think Brad's role in the game is going to be a little like Marvin's in RE 2 remake. They'll flesh him out a little bit before being killed off.

When trailer shows Jill's face......sees Max face....no reaction, till you realize his mind thought this was all RE Resistance "Campaign" xD
TO BE FAIR, months before Project Resistence was announced, there was a leak that got all of PR's gameplay correct. That leak also stated there would be a single player campaign with PR that would have a then unnamed character exploring Raccoon City solving puzzles and surviving in a SEMI, (Not full) open world style of gameplay.... You can disagree with me if you want, but the Screenshots, and what little gameplay we saw in this video fit with that leak, and considering the guy got everything right about PR well... I'm willing to bet RE3 was that campaign he saw.

That mirror scene has to be Jill having some PTSD from the mansion incident. Also that is definitely Nemesis chasing her at the beginning, if you listen carefully after he bursts through the floor he says "STAAAARRSSS".

Anyone notice that in the scene where the Nemesis crashes through the roof and Jill looks at him before running away, if you listen really carefully you can hear Nemesis whisper "S.T.A.R.S....".

I do remind you that Nemesis does actually infect Jill about half way through the original game.
He mentions it during the stream so he knows.
He was talking about a "weird infection mechanic" during the actual gameplay.
In the Original we got to play as Carlos and cured Jill and then it was over. I think they will expand on that aspect a lot in the remake.

Zombie Jill might be more of a cutscene when she is infected by Nemesis during the Story and you switch to playing as Carlos searching for the cure

Imersiion yeah! That’s how it went in the original. After a Nemesis boss fight Jill gets infected and you switch to Carlos. Considering that in Remake 2 we switched to Ada when Leon got shot like in the original, it wouldn’t be crazy to think the same will happen here

I remember watching my brother play this game (along with 2) a lot when I was very young, now I’ll get the chance to play this game for the first time, like with 2, and fight nemesis (or run a lot lol) 😁👍
Yep. I was expecting to see a _Max Reacts_ to the Resident Evil 3 Remake. Again, this was one of the worst kept secrets as it got leaked. Suffice to say, I am excited.
I love the time that they used in this trailer cause it could depicts at what time Leon and Claire were in this event:
They got to Raccoon City (20:10 PM),
Leon was with Ada and going through Gun Shop Kendo (21:03 PM),
The time at 22:53 PM means that Claire was still in the Raccoon Police Station (I assume),
Claire was with Sherry and getting out after Claire fought Birkin (00:36 AM),
Leon probably went back to look for Claire in the Police Station I assume (01:54 AM),
Claire went to look for Sherry (02:35 AM),
I believe either Claire or Leon were at the Sewers at that time I assume (04:12 AM), I maybe wrong but who knows it's fun to speculate,
Claire was already on her way to look for the cure for Sherry (04:57 AM),
Leon arrived at the Laboratory to find the G Virus Sample (05:21 AM)
and they got out from the exploding laboratory at 06:35 AM as the sun was rising. It's all speculation but I love that this idea popped into my head as I was watching this trailer again. The outbreak of Raccon City happened a day and 3 minutes after Jill was already running from Nemesis.
Tbh I really hope Capcom actually makes the idea of "getting killed by Nemesis deletes you AND your save" into an actual mode.
Instead of hardcore mode, call it "Nemesis Mode" , make the reward for beating Nemesis Mode worth the pain, suffering and many restarts.

I hear ya on that re2 was great but definitely I agree. Like the lab seemed to be over as quick as it started. Not for nothing, the concept of Resistance does look neat at least. Having a multiplayer group of 4 "test subjects" try to navigate through a death maze created by a 5th "mastermind" player.

Anyone else upset about the missing Samurai Edge? I understand that it's probably unlockable...but RE3 is the game where it debuted. This is the signature weapon of Resident Evil, especially Jill's. To add insult to injury, they've given her a Glock, the most mundane pistol on the planet. Even the collector's edition figure has the Glock. I'm grateful to Capcom, I really really am, but this seems like the strangest decision they could've ever made.
The whole time Peter Fabiano was onscreen all I heard was, "Andre...Andre...UNFUCKINBELIEVEABLE!"
