When I get crabs in a spot, I move pot 20-50 mtrs up or down creek looking for other crabs tgat mightn't move due to other crabs in that particular spot

gday mate ,first time seen cuffs in use up close . No tips that would help but do you put to sleep then remove cuffs? prior to cooking . they look bloody handy. cheers
Yea mate remove before cooking i lime to ice my crabs down before cooking anyway as prevents them throwing legs and nippers

@@AttitudeAdjuster can catch them all times of the year but i find after a good wet or even when its still raining is the best bigger tides is also key and moon phase i like 50% moon and 100% moon i dont really bother on the 2 weeks in between both

Share farmers raiding you pot is a piss off. Not worth leaving your pots out overnight now even in the southeast chasing sand crabs. If your lucky and you have old shit pots they just take you crabs, If you have nice new pots they take take the lot and sell you post on market place or gumtree.
