I want one of these so bad but I must say I'm a little terrified. I have only been keeping since February and I now have 75 T's. I do have 9 Old Worlds but I still am a little scared. Watching these videos helps me out alot. Thanks so much for your input. Newbies like me appreciate it. Tell Lucy my Caribena versicolor Lucy got out on me again during feeding. That's 4 times. She is such a cheeky little girl. 😆
If you have 75 tarantulas I'd say your ready for a pokie they're normally advanced because of the speed, freaks people out and obviously the strong venom, out of the pokies tho p metallica if you get one from sling it's just fast but you will trust it more as it grows the only pokie that's ever gave me trouble is p regalis, tried to bite me few times ha ha
Lol 😂 I love this!! Can't believe you've named a versi after me ❤ that's so lovely and I love that she's cheeky 😁😁 the naughty ones are the best, huge hugs 🤗
Amazing information mate thanks for the video. I have a few P.metallica slings, an adult female, and a mature male. My female juvenile died. I'm so glad you shared your experiences and knowledge. ❤
Would love to see a breeding video. I'm currently trying to breed my female P.metallica. the male has been in for 2/3 weeks now . There is not a lot of information on successful egg sacks 🤔.
Hi Gav 🕷️ hope you had a great Halloween 🎃 👻 What a fantastic video. I have to say that the P. Metallica is one of my favourite Old World Tarantula species. When I used to watch an American UA-cam channel away years ago, I fell for them. Their colours are amazing, and a great size when they’re adults. Although they’re too advanced for me 😂 Hope all’s well 😊😊
Awesome video man, great info. I’ve been wanting to add one of these to my collection and this helped me a bunch. Your spiders are beautiful. You earned a sub from me.
I need to get another one or two of these, and had a male and he’s gone now. I have 14 pokies and I’ve never had any problems with them. They may have skittish moments but they’ve never been defensive in any way. I house mine similarly especially the sizing of enclosures
Excellent Vid !!! 💙🖤💛 I have a large Tarantulas Crib Treehouse, it’s awesome. Also a 2 & 1/2 to 3 inch female P. victori Darth Maul. I’d really like to put her in the treehouse. What do you think ?? I’m thinking she is too small ? It’s 12 inches tall without the extension & 14 with it. Please tell me what you think 🤔 So it’s 8 by 8 by 12 or 14 I can make the enclosure very full of stuff so the amount of room won’t be so much with lots of hiding places
@candyscott489 thankyou it's up to you but if you look on my channel few months ago I rehoused a male and female p.victori in two 12 by 10 enclosures and they both doing great
I've literally lost a paired young adult p met female last month, got stuck in the molt, by time i found it was too late.. i've got other adult females, slings and juvies of the p mets.. though i do like them, the Ornats is my favourite.. i have around 10 ornata ranging from adult females, juvies to slings.. i have about 60+ pokies in 13 different species of the family..
@gavsTarantulas Yeah are just all round a great tarantula to have, they are stunning, they are out on display alot, they feed well, they web up beautifully, and they have that excitement of being defensive and quick.. pokies, ornithoctoninae phan cay reds and blue, psalmopoeus, chilobrachys are tarantulas what im solely collecting raising and breeding atm.. and now the true spiders macrothele species, currently have 10 Raveni, Yani and sp thailand, adults females of each and unsexed juveniles of each hopefully a male will pop up in them and i can breed them
@gavsTarantulas I have up on trying to get my hands on my favorite true spider, found in the red woods and Canada only. Lately I've been into the classic Tegenaria domestica and hibernalis kulkania. I recently found a mature healthy red ant mimic spider in the wild. I captured video haven't posted it though. I find interesting true spiders a good bit here in the old houses here in New Orleans. Up high inside the wood trim and under slate.
I like these set ups. Vibrant T's!
Thankyou
