Sometimes this song triggers major nostalgia and makes me cry. I don't think it's in a bad way, but can't explain exactly why it does. Nostalgia in general doesn't do that. Anyway, awesome bad and amazing song!
Yeah man.. gets memories brewing for sure. Didn't dig this tune right away until I heard the live version, then I was hooked. Check it out on Austin City Limits.. Amazing performance in general.
Yeah, my sister sent me the link to this song. Our mom had just passed (97 1/2) and we were going through her things. There it was, my dads bronze star from WWll. Couple days later she was back in Albequerque and her husband says listen to this! Wow.
I love this but I think Ben lost his voice a little mid song. Right after I thought I could hear it crack you could see him bend over briefly, and at the end when it blurs you can see him shrug. Still absolutely love their performance though
I would agree. Although I really enjoy both versions tremendously, to see the live version nail the studio version or do even better would top everything! The singer was struggling a little without a beat.

Wow, I thought it was only me. Out of no where sobbing like a baby.

@@ChazSeamus28 Amazing! Can't believe it has less than 1,000 likes! Everyone should look up the Austin City Limits version!
That's the quality of this bands music that made me fall in love with them.
Wrote a great song, recorded it, then played an even greater rendition live on acoustic instruments...
one hell of a band!

I wanted to see them live when they were in WA playing but I was working 😤
I prefer the studio version just because the synth’s sound soo good

I love this song as acoustic way better
More than you ever know.
Great performance.
Dino Jr roots all over this gem
Sounds good with, or without J. on the chorus.
Wes Weldon first time I heard this I really thought it was J mascis...don’t know if I spelled name right. Do the have any ties to DJ?
@@foxopossum J Mascis sings on the studio version.
muy buena
The best part of you tube!
The guitarist on the left looks like George Harrison back in the early 70's
Wow wow wow

Bubbles plays a mean mandolin.
Wheres J
BOH Electric- meh
BOH Acoustic- Super Amazing!
That guy who comes in with “in a drawer, found it in a drawer” sounds just like Jay mascus in the studio version
"Jehova's Fitness" 😂
i wish the singer could sound like his albums and stick to that i dont really think its just production as it is a lack of focus
The point of a studio live version is to sound different. Why record the song again if you're gonna make it sound the same?
