I was really impressed by Half-Life: Alyx. It's co-created by Campo Santo, who made one of my favorite games Firewatch, so I shouldn't be surprised. After what might be the best game ending I've played since The Last of Us, I couldn't wait to jump back in and record this video. I hope you guys enjoy it too, and thanks for watching!

It's because it's broken. I did it, and when I got to the beam and it took the gnome away from me, I expected to get the achievement. I didn't.

Avery Hyena try loading the save before fighting the strider and doing it again, just got it this evening. Keep holding on to it before the game takes it.

@@AveryHyena I had something similar with Ep. 2. My first playthrough, there was a part in the Vortigaunt caves that let me go back and forth from the base area. In my gnome run, a door closed off and I lost it.

Oh wow, it took me WAY too long to realize that the Y in ALYX is an upside-down lambda-
There's actually a cut title screen where instead of the title just appearing and disappearing at the end of the game, all of the letters besides Y literally just disappear and the Y spins upside down.

If you're wearing a hard hat at the start of the Jeff chapter, the guy you save from the Barnacle will compliment you on it.
You can be wearing any hat, even a traffic cone, and he will compliment you on it. Kind of hard to get around when blinded by a bucket though.

9 months late, but if they ever make another hl game in gordon's POV, G-Man might not even appear anymore as he had fired Gordon to hire Alyx. And, if they make a game again with Alyx's POV, then he'll be watching from afar... probably.

I've been following this man since 2014 and I still can't asimilate how people prefer an annoying dude saying what to do to perform the easter egg with loud music in the background and trying to get their video to 10 minutes. You deserve more.
They also prefer someone who claims you should throw a temper tantrum after losing a game instead of being nice and calm.
80% of views come from kids. And kids prefer obnoxious screeching over good gameplay and videomaking.

An early door in Bioshock also uses the code 0451. Early in the Medical Pavilion, an optional door is blocked by ice right after you are able to melt ice. In the room is a locked door that uses that code to get you some ammo.
It was also featured in Deus Ex 1 as the Comm building code in the beginning. It made an appearance for the elevator code in Human Revolution as well. More importantly it's a reference to Fahrenheit 451.
Why is it the same code though?
