THANK YOU! I watched countless of videos on how to install an HKS blow off valve but they dont go in depth on how the vacuum lines should go, your video was of great help!
The vacuum line for any aftermarket bov will t-off for vacuum at the port at the throttle body you will not need the vacuum lines off the blue solenoid if you still have factory lines you can un hook the pink one from the surge valve and just let it hang there after installing the block off you can remove both the blue and pink but will need to cap off where the blue line connects
it just doesn't work with the aftermarket bov's its pretty common to see mods done incorrectly on these cars i get to fix lots of similar issues to this on lots of other srt4's
Hey, I enjoy your videos really teaches a lot!! I’m having a boost or fuel cut issue in 5th gear . When I’m in fifth gear and try to pick up speed the boost or fuel cut will inner fear with the acceleration, any ideas? I’m posting a video to my UA-cam now to show what it’s doing.
sounds like my problem. before external bov and hard pipes my boost and spool was fine. now the boost guage is showing boost, but I'm not always hearing the release of pressure when I let off the throttle like before and only certain instances where I can hear the turbo spooling. the cai on mine has the one hose that goes to the the TB deleted, but the mechanic that did my setup said I didn't need it? it has a bigger TB, not exactly sure what the deal is, but it sounds like it wasn't setup correctly.
Could you do one on how to run lines for an external waste gate? I’ve seen different diagrams where you t the tip line(the top line on tip solenoid) with the waste gate and others that show the tip line running into the charge pipe.
@@Mattsneedforspeed i have a bad 3rd gear grind. I know it’s super common and the best fix is new 3rd gear synchros and a gear extender right? I’m wondering how much i should be expecting to spend at the mechanic to get them synchros put in ? I don’t want to get absolutely taxed on because I know it’s a very common thing. Just paid 9k for the car and was told 3rd gear was a 600$ fix
Hey man I have so many questions I just don't know how to actually be able to talk to you on more of a personal level vs comments. this is my 1st 05 neon srt4 and I've been working on alpt of things it is my only car/DD. but it started doing a bit of different things but I don't have any friends that ever owned a car like this. but I need some advice and I am located in Holland, Michigan if it matters..
I did a solenoid delete off some videos. I calped top turbo nipple. Ran the bottom one to the internal wastegate. Capped egr line. Aftermarket bov to intake nipple. And nipple on hardpipe to tip.. not seeing any boost. I think im overthinking it.. im getting told i need a boost controller in between turbo nipple to internal wastegate.. but im thinking i need a source of vacum t'd to the bov and intake. Did i just answer my own question?
Hey I have a big turbo srt setup and I have none of my atomospheric sensors hooked up and I have an external wastegate and aftermarket blowoff valve how do I run my vacuum lines? Oh I have a boost solenoid as well not a controller.
they will spike high then fall of and hold an agp waste gate will help with that you could have a boost leak also or if pcm controlled boost its seeing too much and is opening the wast gate
@@robertdennis972 check all the clamps on the pipes and look at the one under the ac compressor on the passenger side sometimes they can get a hole there because the center mount drops down
how are the vacuum lines ran ? a stock gate will make about 8psi. what waste gate are you running is the rod adjusted correctly ? what kind of bov it could be leaking ?

Super helpful. We got a srt4 recently and they used the pink line for the bov.

with no hoses hooked up the stock gate will still make 5-8 psi and yes you need to get vacuum from the intake to the aftermarket bov for it to work

hm so would you know why when I'm stepping on it it hits full boost and then its starts to lose boost??

I only boosting 7 psi max. I fixed all boost leak
