Great summary. One thing that's important to add, especially for cruiser players who are new to smoke, don't stop and smoke up, since you'll only get a small screen, and don't sit stationary broadside-on. With fast-firing 150s, I don't need to see you to hit you, I'll just follow the tracers back. Always keep moving around in the smoke, and angle as much as possible.
Wow, thank you very much for this video. I'm finally going to be able to obtain Belfast because of the updated shipyard, and I want to play her at the best way possible, and this video really helps a lot. Also, I'm quite disappointed to know that she doesn't have torps because her real-life counterpart has one, which can be very handy when dealing with BBs at medium to close range. But, overall very good job, keep going :)
Obtained the Belfast in the St Patrick's Day event, and it's one of my favourite ships now. Insanely fun to play, and extremely comfortable for anyone getting into cruisers for the first time. Thank you DFA.
@@deathfromabove432 pulled the trigger and spent some copper today. Some fleet mates suggested concealment in slot three. Seems to me unnecessary with no torps and all that smoke. Your thoughts? Makes me wonder what supplies you run?
@@hooligan5380 it is unnecessary, with all that smoke you can disappear very easily. Your manoeuvrability will keep you alive longer. So the classical hp, reload and speed.
😤 Wonderful! I'm just 10 copper pieces away from picking up the Belfast from the shipyard, when 💥ka-boom!💥... Update 4.3 drops, and Belfast is GONE! Now my copper options are the Duca D' Acosta(30) and the Poltava(50). I know nothing about either, except that the Poltava stats look pretty awful. Small guns for its tier(356mm), lousy turret traverse(4.5 deg/s), awful hull traverse speed, terrible acceleration, and mediocre armor stats. I don't know squat about the tier 6 Duca D Acosta, although it's stats don't look as bad as Poltava.
I'm working on a D'aosta review; it's a solid ship. Poltava is also very good. The question is more: for which line do you want to be training commanders?
@@deathfromabove432 My response is a little late(3 months), but I'm just now seeing your response. Well, I watched a long review of "best and worst premium ships" and that person gave the Duca D'Aosta only like 2-3 of 5 stars, but he gave Poltava 4.5 or 5 stars, as I recall. So I picked up my 50th copper piece and bought Poltava a few weeks back. My first few games I was low tier, in 3 base domination matches, playing alone, from longer ranges, but with teams filled with lousy players who'd avoid capping, and then die early. Also the enemy carriers in those first 3 games focused on me like a laser! But by the 5th game I was starting to figure out the ship. Now I'm occasionally able to use Poltava to help train my 1 Russian legendary commander (Kutznetzov).

Thanks Terry - interestingly enough, that will be the content of the second part (because I do see that all the time as well 😃)

Oh it would be op with torps you know... It's already very good as it is 😉

It is a fun one indeed, congratulations !
I play against you on the EU Server... I'm going to subscribe just because of that lol
ok, welcome :)
I just got the ship and found this helpful video
Thank you very much! Make sure to watch part 2.
You make it very hard to NOT spend copper on this ship...
It's a really good one, it had everything going for it except AA.. and there's Beatty on top of that!

Lovely ship your smoked up so long even without betty
Can you teach me how to use minotaur please 🙏
Oh no, but there’s a big minotaur fanboy on my server, he’ll be happy to help!
Leaving dd's alive allows them to win games and mvp's
That could be said of every ship, no?
Belfast is my favorite ship to play in WOWS Blitz
It's very good, congratulations!
Would you recommend IFHE or APCS captain skill for Belfast?
APCS, always.
