    Obviously some people in the comments have forgotten what it is like to be a beginner at something.

      Elle Keener ima be honest when i was 13 i was able to clear 9 foot flat wall runs and and vault almost 4 feet to many that's not much was never a real parkour person just more of a free runner but yah you're right it is her first day

      +anNaSoR911 She's not strong yet she has a fitness channel... and goes on to tackle tough sports or occupations all while being given crap that's far from the real thing so she can make it seem she's tackling what the real participants go through like that FDNY thing.

    This is inspiring. As anyone who has ever worked hard at something knows everyone is new at least once. Ignore the cruel self-centered voices saying you're not perfect, just work at it, work for yourself and you''ll get there. Thanks for posting this!

      TeamUrbanFreerunning Some people don't show their outmost potential in their first go. Everyone's first time at something isn't their greatest. And hey, I was terrible at parkour when I first started but with practice, everyone improves and gains skill, knowledge and experience. You don't need to be a dick about it.

    • @teamurbanfreerunning5004
      @teamurbanfreerunning5004 10 років тому +4

      MsOkTaecyeon Gonna admit that you're right. I was very bad at parkour when I first started and the person who trained me is the one in my picture cos we're a team. So for a person who isn't as physically strong she did pretty well.

    If you have joint problems you can do swimming, or another water related fitness activity to stay in shape. It doesn't put a lot of strain on the joints, but it will be tough in the beginning. If you're not in shape and don't have a good technique it will be hard as hell. When you get better though it will get easier.

    If you have a bad knees, you gotta be VERY careful because no matter what you do, you will put lots of strain on them.
    If you wanna give it a go, here's two tips: Any time you jump down you either have lots of tension if you don't bend a lot, or a lot of bending to make the impact more gradual - so you gotta figure out what's best for your knees. Also, at v=giZCrMrrbmk they show a roll that doesn't put any pressure on one knee, but of course puts more on the other knee and on the palms.

    Any advanced pk practitioner will actually tell you the same thing, its just a matter of semantics like how here in the u.s. we may refer to Jiu Jitsu as submission grappling but in Brazil every "submission grappler" refers to it as Jiu Jitsu. The only thing that really matters is constant dedicated training.

    I find many have an extreme view of parkour, surely because of how it is presented in media. I find many young guys progressing faster than what is good for them, just to upload a cool vid here. With that comes injuries and a short "career". Parkour is hard work, adaptation, always working with what you've got. Let go of any ideas of what it should be, progress slowly and do a lot of strengthening exercises, then parkour will be exactly what you need.

    Today, Parkour World become a bit like just like that kid on the slide calling "hey mom, look at me look, hey look, can you look? Are you looking for sure? I am trying really hard to impress you here, can you see me doing that?" nothing wrong here . But one day this kid become more adventurous and decide explore the playground, see the other kids, meet them play with them, explore the space around and his own body in non normal ways, trying and doing things that he never was done, when the end of the day comes the words to his mom are: " Was such a nice cool day. I wish you been seen it, was amazing". As we get older, its more hard to learn things we don't know. We become trap in the familiar and become addicted to it.

    DO IT! Take it from a normal dude that's been around the scene(though never trained diligently enough to get to pro status, but keeps in good condition and still vaults every railing I can when going places, lol) for almost 4 years, it doesn't take much strength to start learning the basics, and being that you train for everything, you will get to the point to where you can do cool stuff, you just gotta practice. I hope you do decide to start training, check around for some videos on it. :P

    parkour is all about efficiency and speed, WITHOUT TRICKS OR FLIPS.

    Some of these comments are pure nasty and just plain mean and shows a real sense of self loathing and no self esteem so you beat up on her from
    The safety of your moms basement and a keyboard with sticky keys. Don't watch the clips if you don't like her or keep your negativity to yourselves and your pitiful lives. It's no wonder she no longer posts anything given the dumb ass comments. You all read way too much into these clips and I'll bet she can run circles around most all on this forum including me. Only a prior Col loser in life would make these nasty comments about someone who loves life, has a passion for the outdoor, and is probably a generous person in life. You should be ashamed of yourselves but you'd have to have a conscious and pride to feel that emotion but you possess neither.

    omg. The only reason he said she did good was because he was looking at her butt! really ( nothing against women ) I looked at the girl and she was like, legs feeble and arms feeble and probably barely had curves. She should get in some shape before getting into parkour. The other girl in the pink that had been doing parkour looked like she was set. Had a muscular build and everything. But the other girl couldn't even land a roll and all the guy was saying was "Good!" but we all know what he was thinking -_-

      I never doubted, that she is trying hard... but cmon, you think she did a REAL SEAL training? I think not. Read "SEAL team Six- Autobiography of a Sniper"
      and you will know what a "real" training is. I bet she wouldnt last one day of the "Hell week"

    • @RogerCharlamange
      @RogerCharlamange 10 років тому +1

      MossadAgent100 Actually, Extreme SEAL Experience is taught by former SEAL Don Shipley and others, they treat it as a Hell week type situation. If you read "The Warrior Elite" and "Breaking BUD/S" you'll see that yeah Hell Week is hard but if you have the determination it gets a lot easier. You know nothing of "Real SEAL training" Well you might know about IADs or the sort, but SEAL training is for the most part secretive. BUD/S is a trial course to test the spirit and determination of the men who want to join the elite ranks. It's not easy in any way but when you actually look at the course it's the repetition that fucks people over. Middle school soccer teams do Log PT, not for hours at a time though. But the thing she went through was a week of hours at a time PT same as BUD/S. You should do your research mate.
