I was never into rays as I was just was not aware of them (joys of living in a small welsh town Haha) but wow they're amazing can't believe the variety. definitely appreciate the exclusive video as its opened my eyes to them, will now research about freshwater rays 😁😀

I went to the oceanarium and a stingray was giving birth. The guy maintaining the aquarium asked us to give the baby a name. I said "Steve Irwin".

I've been breeding guppies for decades. Have it whittled down to only 4 tanks, as I downsized housewise . Came across freshwater rays. I'm in love. I think I need a bigger house. Lol ❤️☕️

Shahbaaz Shaikh I highly doubt he would be able to afford an albino as they have a price tag of over $10,000.
That would largely depend on the species. In this video there is one where you can add another zero to that number, then double it. ;)

Great video Joey, awesome stingrays and excellent work with the camera, so many nice angles and close-ups. Stingrays are for sure my all-time favorite and it was really painful to hear and see what happened to your rays. BUT I´m really excited to see what you have planned for the future (stingrays "hint hint").
One question though, could you maybe tell us something about the prices of some of those rays? I figure that albino boesemani is priceless but maybe give us a glimpse at how much rays cost. And also I would love to watch a video where you talk about rays and how to keep them, differences between species and so on.

Kristófer Leó Ómarsson The black diamond rays would be around $1,200 or more, the boesemanis would be about $6000± The pearls (non-albino) would be around $1500± each. Any of the albinos I can guarantee would be out of the price range of most people, think about the same as a car.

It is bascially the same filtration systems I use. Just on a much larger scale!
The Albinos are to die for! All of the rays are to die for!! I did not know there was a facility in CA that bred rays. Too bad we can't get em in the US.
Edit: just visited the Fb page and found out the place is for research. Makes sense now.

+Rhameen Kolyani he is not open to the public and you can't buy or own rays in California. He has a permit and can sell outside California though.
