Hexey, baby, you want the Westoros "Jesus"... to marry his cousin????

If you know the GoT universe, you know that cousin marriage is perfecty normal in Westeros (as it was in the Middle Ages). Like Ned Stark's parents were cousins, Tywin Lannister's parents were cousins... I don't get why people are so freaked out by the idea.

Feuerhexe Maybe in the books Hexey baby, but there's no example you can cite in the show where any form of "familial relations" is portrayed as *no big deal* routine. That said, much like Dany ( Westeros "Joan of Arc") the show has built Jon up into this icon of virtue. I don't realistically see the showrunners turning that virtuos icon into a *cousin f××××r*. And I can't quite put together why you or anyone else who so favors Jon's awesomely virtuous noble Super-Stark qualities, would find such an outcome satisfying.

Family trees are family trees, they're the same on the show as in the books. GRRM created these characters and he created them for certain reasons.
It would be the most satisfying outcome because it would not only finally legitimize Jon as Jon Stark which is important as King in the North, it would also secure and strengthen the north and start a new era of House Stark where the pack led by Jon ans Sansa as Ned and Cat 2.0 ensure the future. GRRM based GoT on the War of the Roses and Jon and Sansa could end up ruling like Henry Tudor and Elizabeth of Tudor.

Feuerhexe Soooo then, what *hint* is to be taken from the fulfillment of that whole R+L=J thing? Jon's *Song of Ice and Fire* status, seems to me, to make it highly unlikely that his destiny will top out at "King in the North".

I didn't say his destiny is to become King in the North. It's just a very important milestone on his long way to the throne. First he needs to unite the north and once the northern lords find out that Jon is half Targaryen, they certainly will doubt his loyalty. So getting legitimized as Stark is one very very important step, also of course for him personally. Right now he's King in The North, but still Jon Snow. When he ends up ruling Westeros (though I'm not really sure if there will be something like a throne at the end, at least not as we know it so far), Sansa might end up as queen by his side. I do believe her character arc, everything she's been through and learnt, could still lead her into this endgame that she wanted at the very beginning. Just not quite the way she had imagined it as naive teenager. People just really underestimate her and they have done so since the very beginning. Same with Jon really, who has always been just a bastard. Both had to fight more than hard to be where they are now.

The mission to the north is ridiculous. Jon will never be a Stark - he is a Targaryen and this will become known to Jon this season

Biologically he is half Stark, half Targaryen, but he is 100 % Stark in mind and soul. He's basically Ned 2.0 , he was raised as Stark. I don't think he'll suddenly think like a Targaryen when he learns the truth.

A Dragon raised by Wolves for sure and it is in the book that he looks like Ned even more than Rob. If you believe nurture has more impact than nature he would be considered a Stark but the culture in Westeros is heavily on the bloodline(nature) side. Perhaps we are both right!

It's interesting since he's both, but his Targaryen bloodline is super important. We'll see, but I think he'll always remain Jon Stark and Ned will always be his father to him, after all he raised him and made him the person he is. Jon is so humble and unselfish and decent and honorable (unlike the Targaryens) and more like a Stark than all the "real" Stark kids and becoming a Stark officially has been his life long wish. I'm so rooting for him :)
