38:11 Piantapedia said in the Mario Kart Wii section that he has to break his "no first course every time" rule, and then acknowledges he's breaking again in the Mario Kart 7 section... but didn't he already break it in the Mario Kart DS section? He chose Figure-8 Circuit as the worst course of DS, right? I'm pretty sure that's the first course of DS, right???
Bro half of the things don't even apply to the Tour version of Sky High in his analysis, like the anti-gravity and weird collision stuff. Plus I find the saturation to feel way more natural in Tour. I don't blame him for not playing the Tour version but he didn't even TALK about it.
Especially since he's supposedly talking about these tracks in the context of their original games. Saying SHS is the worst Tour track and then barely addressing the Tour version of the track is very questionable
Honestly I think he should have picked one of the city tracks instead of sky high, since I feel like since sky high was first in the booster course then that’d be a booster course track especially if that’s the version he’s talking about even though that isn’t really the tour version Mario kart 8 basically got two entries
Bone-Dry Dunes may be mediocre, but calling it THE worst track in the entirety of Mario Kart 8 when we have the Booster Course Pass is just absolutely insane!
The worst NITRO track you mean. Just for the record, I am not actually a Bone-dry Dunes hater, but even if I was, I'd still hate Water Park more. It's just such a nothing track and it completely fails at being a tutorial for underwater driving too.
@YoshiAteTooManyYoshiCookies Whoops! Sorry for that little error, lol. But still, my statement with Bone-Dry Dunes still stand. It's mediocre, yes, but that doesn't mean it should be called the worst.
Mind you, the ice blocks in VL2 are really annoying, especially if you are going for national records. Hitting them slows you down and that often leads to resets. They don't make it difficult, they make it tedious
i wanna give this guy the benefit of the doubt and say that it was just a more amateurish approach to making a mario kart video, but he has 5,000 something subs and seems to have a lot of analysis videos under his belt so idk honestly. i wanna call this harsh but yet i can't really disagree with anything you said lol
I will not stand for the Vanilla Lake 2 slander plant went through with. It's challenging in a fun way where you make your own fun, unlike VL1s bs, and it is actually memorable for a SMK track because of the fun gap hopping and all, it's like top 3 or 4 tracks in that game
I saw this video a little bit ago in my feed, and I feel like pointing out the same here that i pointed out there. The take on Snow Land is very rough. Like you said, theyre focusing on entirely the wrong stuff because to be honest it really isnt that bad of a track in Super Curcuit outside of the screen shake messing with the experience. What kills *me* about it is the hypocrisy. When introducing Snow Land, he actively made a point about how the 8DX version is "one hell of a glow up," right? Lets look at what is negatively said about the GBA version. It's "bland," "visually uninteresting," has "uninspired track design," and "lacks any identity beyond 'snow level.'" The issue with these arguments for me is that, aside from verticality, Snow Land is one of the most faithful GBA remakes in the entire BCP. The layout, while having some proportions tweaked, is pretty much 1 to 1 with the original, with the only big changes being the loss of those offroad ice paths. The aesthetics are literally the exact same as the GBA, just adapted to now be a 3d environment instead of a 2d one. And i dont think the 8DX version really gives it much of an identity beyond "snow level" either. Like theres penguins ig, but those were in the original, just with different behavior. It is just a very flimsy argument and none of the evidence actually supports it when you spend any amount of time thinking about it. And this comment is coming from someone who actually agrees on Snow Land being the weakest GBA track, lmao
Definitely a massive case of just throwing around adjectives and hoping no one notices the lackluster analysis - its the kinda ranking that's always bland to watch
Ima be 100 percent honest out of the whole smk lot it just feels like because of the fact that all of the tracks have the same 5 themes and fairly similar layouts for all the variants, I don’t really have a big opinion on them lol, good critiques on the other ones overall tho. Idk if u take requests for reaction videos but there’s a UA-camr by the name of Toxiquid that made an excellent video regarding what’s next for a new mariokart, would love to see ur opinion on it. Love ur content btw!
I haven't even finished watching the video, but in advance, on behalf of the entirety of The Netherlands, we apologize for fellow dutchman, Pianta, having such shit opinions

The ChatGPT allegations are real 💀
Every time you said Plant Man, I looked up to the screen
Yeah I don't know why I thought it was Planta instead of Pianta - I really should wear my glasses

Oh Vanilla Lake 2.... one day everyone will realize you're a good track instead of being one of the worst, my scrimblo bimblo.
that will start whenever we get over the "flat = bad" thing (very far from our time i would saddly imagine)
@Brad766- Man...
As someone who actually likes OG snow land (Motion Sickness isn’t real) that “analysis” hurt
I swear if Desert Hills is ranked the worst in DS I might go a little coo coo for coco puffs
you know it's gonna be crazy when the video is 11 minutes and the reaction is an hour
Not even Moonview slander saved this video

We know what we call that 'round these parts
@SirMoresty I'm sorry, but have you played the track?

12:53 I never realized that. lol I kinda liked Wario Stadium. Younger me would probably say Banshee Boardwalk.
This video was a whole lotta mess but at least Desert hills wasn’t hit with the “worst track in DS” hammer finally 🙏🏻

Yeah, this one is a trainwreck.
Also, the footage is from other channels btw.
